By using Daseysnark and FanForum, I've complied a list of reasons we list for shipping Dasey. However, we are a few short of 100. Also both of these lists are a tad dated, since they were created before Season 3 ended.

So here's the list so far:

1. He's her step brother, so there's no genetic link. (Mice and Men S2)
2. He's a 'skirt chasing cad', and 'she's a princess'.
3. He already made out with her cousin. Who looked just like her. Who was HIS step cousin too. Not that anyone seemed to find that wrong.
4. She talks about him to Paul constantly.
5. She blows off her 'month-adversary’ to spy on his date.
6. He asks out her best friend just to bug her.
7. The look on his face watching her and Sam in the kitchen in "Male Code Blue."
8. His jaw dropped when she walked down the stairs all … uncovered in "Babe Raider."
10. They can't even clean a living room without a big physical fight. (All Systems No Go - S1)

11. He's the exception to every rule. (Grade-A Cheater - S3)
12. Doesn't she ever want to live a little dangerously? (The Party - S1)
13. When their fights get physical, their limbs end up intertwined.
14. They dress as a married couple for a school project. (Grade Point Average - S1)
15. They know exactly how to push each other's buttons and how to get to each other.
16. She makes him his favorite, chocolate chip pancakes, when she's feeling guilty. (The Venturian Canadiate - S2)
17. They're always just walk into each other's rooms.
18. They have a freakishly unnatural interest in each other's love lives.
19. He likes to make her beg.
20. She has a ‘no Derek’ talk rule when dating Max. But she breaks it in "Bully Brothers." She just can't help herself.

21. He called her Dad back for her! He didn't even want her to know he'd done it. (Dinner Guest - S2)
22. He is the only one to follow her into the kitchen to see if she's ok in "Dinner Guest."
23. He might even miss Casey if he goes to Spain. (Adios, Derek - S3)
24. He fantasizes about her in a school girl uniform doing his bidding. (Venturian Candidate - S2)
25. She compares all her dates to him.
26. No one talks to Derek's stepsister like that! Except him. He even quits a job he is really good at for her. (DTATFM s3)
27. Ashley Leggat is a member of a Myspace Dasey Group.
28. She likes to throw him on the bed a lot. It happens again in "Grade A Cheater" which Mike wrote.
29. She threw him a party. A surprise 16th birthday. (Sixteen Sparkplugs - S3)
30. Honestly, he's surprised she had anything to do with this. (Sixteen Sparkplugs - S3)

31. He talks to the Casey in his head. (Adios, Derek)
32. She's perfect! (Battle of the Bands - S2)
33. They stage grind. STAGE GRIND. Really now. (Battle of the Bands - S2)
34. He takes any excuse he can to touch her, and she doesn't seem to mind.
35. She makes up a dance to help him pass physics. (Summer School Blues - S3)
36. Her force field has been activated! (Summer School Blues - S3)
37. He takes her dislike of horror films as a 'dare to scare' because…he's obsessed with her. (Fright Night -S3)
38. The chemistry is just so obvious, and intense…it almost melts my screen.
39. He buys her a cell phone after she helps him sell his merchandise. (Pox Father - S1)
40. They spend insane amounts of their time focused on each other …trying to out do each other, trying to prank each other, whatever.

41. They don't take each other's crap. Even as far back as "The Room," they see right through each other.
42. He gets under her skin!
43. The ear pull in the old credits! (S1 & S2)
44. He can't bring himself to hug her. Ever. Which I like to think means it’s just a 'too close' thing. He just can't handle it.
45. He tries his hardest to keep Sam and Casey apart.
46. He doesn't seem to know they are fighting about his 'male code'...
47. There are exceptions to all of Casey's rules.
48. George & Abby were going to send Derek to Spain, because he kept getting distracted by Casey. (Adios, Derek - S3)
49. They have eye sex all the time!
50. She dragged him into the girl's bathroom.

51. She protected him from a bully.
52. A lot of Derek's home movies star Casey.
53. They have so much unresolved sexual tension.
54. Sandra has to ask, "Derek, is Casey your girlfriend?" (Marti the Monster - S1)
55. He makes an angry face as Casey forgives Max in “Grade A Cheater,” even though he has no real reason to dislike Max.
56. He can't handle seeing her cry.
57. In the auditions podcast, Ashley and Mike say they got hired because of the chemistry. Jordan notes it too.
58. Opposites attract!
59. Juvenile fighting usually means a boy has a crush on you! It happens all the time in romantic comedies!
60. The moment in Slacker Mom. I'm convinced she was trying to tease him by standing so close.

61. "Of course. *pulls her against him* I get along great with... *brushes hair out of the way to read her nametag* Riley." (DTATFM)
62. The other thing in DTATFM, when his hand's right there by her waist, "Fine, but I get the tip, if there is one. *push*"
63. Derek's eyes seem to always wonder to Casey.
64. Derek always seems to stand REALLY CLOSE to Casey when people are dancing ... almost as if he wants to ask something? (IOP and RM)
65. Casey secretly loves Derek's smirk.
66. Casey didn't think twice before running downstairs and straddling him to make sure he was okay (Fright Night - S3)
67. Derek shows his soft side when he basically tears himself apart feeling guilty about Scott screwing over Casey. (Crushing the Coach - S2)
68. Derek slaps her butt before letting her wait on his customers. (Don’t Take A Tip From Me - S3)
69. Derek actually trusts Casey enough to confide in her about a past bully. He then genuinely thanks her in the end. (Bully Brothers - S3)
70. When begging Derek to “don’t prank Max,“ Casey attaches herself to Derek’s body for no apparent reason.

71. Ashley's MySpace page is very Dasey-oriented. (Background / Layout)
72. In the Season 3 credits there are shots of Marti as Cupid mixed in with shots of Casey and Derek being flirty!
73. Derek immediately assumes Jamie 'likes' Casey - even though Jamie hardly even knows her. (When Derek Met Sally - S3)
74. Casey risks her "grub" reputation for Derek. (Grade Point Average - S1)
75. Derek uses his association with Casey to rid her "Klutzilla" reputation. (The Fall - S1)
76. Apparently, Casey has seen Derek's "bathroom aim." (The Party - S1) Casey is just as conniving as Derek, whether she wants to admit it or not.
77. Because they have BOTH worn each other's clothing. (Derek in "Marti the Monster" - Casey in "The Bet")
78. Derek memorized Casey's cell phone number. It’s on speed dial.
("Misadventures in Babysitting" and "Grade A Cheater")
79. Because Derek still enjoys Casey's chocolate chip pancakes even when he's furious at her. ("Venturian Candidate")
80. Because Derek videotapes Casey...ALL THE TIME.

81. Because Casey was jealous of Emily.
82. Because Derek was jealous of Sam and Max.
83. Because Derek needs Casey just as she needs him.
84. Because he took her to prom.
85. Because Derek seemed a little too happy that Casey was wearing his shirt.
86. Because they both know and see each other's true selves.
87. Because she was waiting for their feel good moment.
88. Because she sees the good in Derek.


Any suggestions? This list is currently under construction, so don't be surprised if a reason appears or disappears as the week goes on.

88. Derek did not say, "I'm sorry for ripping your dress and I'll take you to the prom to meet your date," No, of course not. He said, "I'm taking you to the Prom." Wtfff.

89. Derek totally just likes pranking. Never mind that he almost never does it to anyone else besides Casey; Oh, no. He is being a normal brother and spending massive amounts of time obsessing over pranks that consequently insure his presence in every aspect of Casey's life. That's the brotherly thing to do, mm-hmm.
