1:100 scale Rohrbach Rocco

Scratchbuilt from wood. A work in progress made primarily from information found on the Seawings website. Thanks.

1:100 - that's an odd scale isn't it??

Not 1:72nd.?? Any particular reason for that?

One of the nice parts of scratchbuilding is that you can use any scale you want. Industry standards don't need to apply in handmade work. Also, it's a lot easier to scale something down by 100 and it works in inches or centimeters equally well. No calculator needed.

I'll post a better photo when the Rocco is finished. I'd like to build some of the other Rohrbach planes too, especially the Romar.

I want to know all about exactly how you built that beauty....!!

It is gorgeous, do you have any more models like that??

If you wish to pen an article for SEAWINGS, I will gladly host it as your building skills are superb and many modelers would, I'm sure, love to read how you scratchbuild so well.

Bryan,
Thanks, I'll have to take some time to write down how I built the Rocco. Meanwhile, this article just appeared on the internet modeler site, another Rohrbach scratchbuilt... http://www.internetmodeler.com/2008/june/aviation/inverness.php
