So, here we can discuss our feelings on the new episode "6 1/2."
I have to say I really enjoyed this episode! During the first half, I was a little nervous on how much Derek would participate in this episode, but those thoughts diminished after the second commercial break.
Of course, I love any time Casey's feminism is highlighted. I like how we're seeing the real Casey now. It makes me smile.
Character wise:
It took me a while to get used to Emily's hair. I'm so used to her kinky curls. But I have to say she did look quite pretty. It was just such a sudden change. I also loved how they noted her relationship with Derek. Sensitive Derek actually showing itself around Emily? That was nice.
Sally, thankfully, played a small role. I can handle her when this happens quite well.
Truman ... had way too much screentime. I thought of him as the male Sally during a lot of his scenes. But I did love his final scenes with Casey and Derek. Those were great.
Speaking of great, I must mention Kendra. I love her. I also laughed when she asked if Derek and Truman were fighting over her. (To which they both respond with a bored "No.") Oh Kendra, so self-absorbed and wonderful.
George and Nora were great too. Although my mom made a comment about Nora that worried me somewhat. With all of Nora's mood swings, my mom asked if Nora was pregnant. (Yeah, the whole discussion of the big family news came to mind.)
Oh, and how can I forget ... PAUL! PAUL! He finally returns! That in itself makes this episode great.
On to Derek and Casey ....
Yeah, I loved their scenes way too much! I love how they talk so freely in the halls now and how they just get each other so well. Don't you love how they have to tell each other everything as soon as they hear it? That is so couple-y.
I also liked Derek's comment on "When do we do this?"
What else ... oh! Camera angles! I liked the strange camera angle seen when Derek and Casey were talking at his locker.
What else what else .... oh, I had to giggle at the "tongue-lashing" comment. Should I really explain myself?

DASEY ~ The exception to ALL rules!!
I almost missed the episode tonight! I was about to cry.
lol, well, at least the only part I didn't catch was the opening and theme song. I started at George and Nora's random sock/personality conversation. My mom looked at me weird when I started giggling at George. Poor, clueless George.
Haha, this episode was great. It sucks that Sally's back, but we didn't get a lot of her which made me extra happy. I loved the Dasey hints, they were so adorable. Truman was weird and very random in my opinion. I loved Casey's line to him at the end of this episode though, it was awesome. (Though Truman was right about how no one in their right mind would actually rate her a six and a half. I agree, Casey/Ashley Leggat are way too pretty).
I hope Truman doesn't return. Honestly, I really hope he doesn't return.
Did anyone else think Shadia resembled Raven for a moment? The whole straight hair/shiny outfit thing? I blinked, but I like her hair straight. It's nice. Though I do prefer the curls.
The Casey/Marti sleep over was cute. I loved that Casey called Marti "Smarti."
Sensitive Derek is back! LOL. Demily fans are probably squealing over that right now.
No Ralph or Sam (that I saw), but Kendra! YAY LAUREN COLLINS! As usual, Kendra never disappoints. I always love her lines and her self-absorbedness...ness. Heh.
Clueless George made me giggle loads through out this episode.
The fashion show had to be my favorite. I love how we're getting the old Casey back and the air-head Max almost turned her into is fading away.
This episode was great. I need to see it again when it repeats on Disney 2 but so far I'm very satisfied with it. _________________

Okay, so I just saw it, and I guess I'll review, if anyone cares.
Marti is adorable, seriously. Her pigtails were cute! She's like Smarti Longstocking!
And I loved how Sally was on for like 28 seconds (yes, I counted) And next episode she's GONE to college! HALLELUJAH!
And how Casey went to DEREK for help with the whole '6 3/4' thing and how she wanted HIM to help her out by kicking Truman's a** (basically what she asked him to do, but just more politely). And then derek DID.
The whole walking in the hallway thing was just too cute, and when Derek came back from work and was all mad that truman flirted with his girlfriend (seriously, who cares?) and he didn't even argue with her when she said that he was just trying to pull his leg...and then it was unbelievably cute when derek used casey's own saying in his sentence (the one with the goat) when he went to yell at truman for dating all the girls. and he was like...'casey!' in a tone that was like, 'dang, she's really getting to me'. <3 <3 <3
and KENDRA'S BACK! YES! I LOVE her! She's just so funny! I actually LAUGHED when I was watching it on TV, which is something I never do (unless I'm watching NCIS and tony gets gibbs-slapped) but OFF-TOPIC! moving on!
Emily's hair was incredible, a WHOLE lot better then in Just Friends. I loved her hair in this episode...and is it just me, or are they all getting a little more beautiful?
at the end though...casey just gave in too quickly to truman. he better not come back, or else i will be VERY upset. i mean she SMILED when she turned around. i'd rather have noel...actually, i love noel. but i don't like casey and noel together. dasey all the way.
Didn't George and Nora already have a fight already about the same thing back in like season 1 or something? I think they did...I love how they're bringing back season 1 (casey's pink jacket...similar fights with george/nora...) i know that people think that the big news is like nora being pregnant, but maybe it could be that george and nora are getting a divorce? I know it's a little harsh, but it could be it! because nora and george are fighting a lot lately... And in the movie, derek and casey try to get their parents back together, but end up getting closer then they ever thought they would? Idk, just a thought.
so basically, that's my review. loved the episode. not as much as march break, but it's number 2 up there for season 5! I can't wait for the next one! _________________

And while Casey's theory was wrong, (Truman was trying to get her) I liked the implied idea that Casey plays an important role in Derek's life. _________________

That's a really good point. Especially because if you went with her theory, Casey was his MAIN target. And his slight similarity to Derek(arrogant,cocky,fautly tricks to get girls) definitely has you thinking about undertones...
No one mentioned this yet but I absolutely loved the part when Casey shared her theory with Derek and he says "Interesting" and she replies (with a HUGE grin on her face) "You thought something I said was interesting?" and then he replies"a broken clock has to be right at least twice a day" LOL it was just such a cute little moment that proves how much they care about what the other things. It reminded me of "Make-No-Promises" when Derek asks Casey "You actually care what I think?" _________________

D I love this episode (i think maybe as much as March Break)
It was soo funny!! Oh, Genora, what would i do without your silly fighting. But i really hope that nora's not preggers >< it would be kinda of weird if the Dasey pairing happened and they have the same half-sibling o.o but if it does happen i'll just accept it, because DAsey is so cute!
Yes, Derek and Casey. I love how casey asked "you actually thought somethign i said was interesting?" or something like that. They were flirting D and when CAsey closed her locker and Derek opened his, i thought for a sec that their lockers were next to each other and i was thinking"hmm why would they be right next to each other" And after i also liked the shot where they were walking through the hallway talking to each other. Casey wanted Derek to stand up for her like Ivanhoe D
Also....did you see Derek right after Casey corrected him "6 3/4" and walked away. He was smirking?? (can't remember the details) but i do remember he was checking out her butt!! :OOO
When Derek said to Truman "trying to get my goat" and truman asked him what his goat was or something and Derek said "Casey!" I was thinking "omg!! Casey is Derek's goat and Derek doesn't want Truman to get her!" but he might have said that out of fustration or something cuz Casey's little cute metaphors are in his head now.
Casey's makeover (on blue screen) was assisted by Derek!! and this shows her trueself too. So does that mean... Derek thinks Casey is beautiful just the way she is!?!?
And Truman said "no man in his right mind would think you're a 6 1/2" and i think derek has a right mind (most of the time xD) soo Truman's indirectly saying that Derek should think Casey's beautiful?
and Derek didn't even say that Casey deserved a 6 1/2...so he was proably thinking in his mind "she's a ten!" but was too embarrassed to say it :] Maybe Casey was so bothered by it was b/c she thought Derek thought she was only a 6 and a half :[
when Marti was saying "you snore right after you drool" to CAsey, i wanted her to say after "well thats what Derek told me" :] Derek watching Casey in her sleep...creepy but acceptable in fanfic world.
Casey looked hecka pretty in this episode, 6 1/2, psh yeah riighhhtt and I love Emily's new hair.
Now onward to the other venturis and mcdonalds
Edwin wasn't even in this episode! except for the blue screen thing, so maybe he was busy during the shooting of this episode?? but i missed him...and his funky clothes :]
Lizzie being too honest....haha, it was funny. She really has grown up! her voice changed and everything
Marti was just adorable :] just sooo cute.
Casey was finally being her "season one self" again. Season 3, she kinda lost her whole feminist side but now its nice to see it return in full force.....(her forcefield has been activated....by Derek?)
In a nutshell, I loved this episode and think this is my fav one so far outta season 4 _________________

Okay, so, I just got finished with watching 6 1/2. I'm still giggling from that LwD high that I get from every episode that I watch. ^.^
SPOILERS!!!
I just have one thing to say: GEORGGGGGE! I LOVED him! The whole time, I was talking to myself, "George, stop digging your hole!!!" Hahahaha.
And I loved that line from Casey, "You think something that I said was interesting?" And she actually looked all happy to hear it too! It made me squeal!!!! :DDDDDDDD
Wow, that was great. And Emily's new clothes and hair = <3 It was great.
That Truman guy made me mad though. Lol
But, I did laugh my head off at that one thing Casey said to Derek about Truman. "You can, I don't know, tongue-lash him or something," it was something like that. I don't know. It just sounded gay. Lol And Derek was like, "WHAT?!" HAHAHA!!!! And I could have sworn Emily said "Gaydar" instead of "GUYDAR" when she said something like, "Turn your guydar off, Derek, and butt out." Don't remember exactly. I was still high from the actual thought of another episode. Lol.
I did love the theme of the episode. I'm a big feminist and everything, so I think it's extremely degrading when guys do stuff like that. But, I did love what Emily said near the beginning, "He's so cute," And Casey, "Em..." And Emily, "But, totally dispicable." Lol. :DDD That was great. The whole episode was great.
Nora was funny. She was having like all these mood swings and acting all sensitive. I loved it.
I admired Marti a lot in this episode. She was like, "I dress the way I care, feel, whatever's me," is a simplified version of whatever the heck she said. O.o I don't know, but it was great and I liked it a lot. :DDD It'd be an awesome quote for all women to remember.
I loved Casey's clothes for the 'Alternative Fashion Show' though. They were great and the ones from the promos. :DDD

I enjoyed the episode but it wasnt my fav. I did, however, find it funny that Casey told Derek that Truman was trying to do whatever to him (can't remember what but it was to the effect of trying to take what Derek )but it screamed Dasey since what Truman wants is Casey...
Oh who else gagged when Derek said Sally was a ten? I'm sure it wasnt

I got a Demily vibe, which also irked me, and why bring Truman in? Who is basically another Derek, i mean He does Derek things, flirts with everyone to get someone to notice him, pretend he doesnt notice her... i really hope family doesnt think we're gonna be happy with a pseudo-Dasey (aks Tasey).
The Casey/Marti scenes were soo cute, i love them, and the fact that Casey called her Smarti
Nora was sorta moody, i hope she isn't preggers that would suck for us.
Emily looked good, i didnt recognise her at first, lol.
Derek and Casey had cute scenes though, like when they were walking in the hall, oh and when he hit her with the locker door, ha, twas funny.
I wished Derek would have been sorta mad when Truman admitted he liked Casey He did seem happy that she didnt like him, but still.
