Hey,

Somehow, I just broke my impedance switch, it just kind of popped out and I have no clue how to fix it. Any tips?

schematic:

I can't really read schematics, but thought it might help to post a part of them for others...

here is a picture of the switch part that came out along with the spring, etc...

part of the plastic switch broke off and that's why i can't really get it back together. but the main problem is figuring out how to make a connection and knowing what Ohm it is.

Does anyone have any info on replacing these impedance switches? I had the exact same thing happen on my M-1000 head and would like to get it fixed ASAP!

Mr. Jackson actually sent me an email response to this.

I don't have any of these left, there are a couple avenues,

First, I used the same impedance selector on my VL-1002's so call
1-800-727-4512 as for service and see if they have them.

The second place is at Rivera amplifiers, he started using them too for
his amps.

The last place is the manufacture, it is made by Schurter and is in
there power switch area.

I hope this helps.

I'm actually thinking about replacing this type of switch with just a toggle or something. It would be more durable, but more easy to accidentally knock out of place.

check out that Schurter website, i eventually found a really really close match on their website, but i haven't actually ordered anything yet.

for now, my switch is just held by duct tape at 8ohms. it works, but i have to check it before i turn the amp on to make sure the tape hasn't come loose.

I hope this helps you, I just received 2 in the mail a couple of days ago. The only place to find these critters is Fuses Unlimited, they cost $6.62 each and you have to have a $20 minimum order and shipping and handling to SW Missouri was around $9 or so. Look over their website so you can come up with $20 worth or stuff. I had to do things in a hurry so I asked if they could just charge me $10 (instead of $6.62) each cause I didn't really need anything else, so they charged me $10 each and shipping and handling, all
was around $29.xx.

Be careful when installing this switch and don't overtighten the plastic nut tht holds the part in. I tweaked a little too hard and it broke a piece and ended up superglueing it cause it was small and not in an critical spot or a safety problem.

The part # is 0033.4032, and Susan Hunter will fix you right up. If it weren't for Lee I wouldn't have found this part.

Also, I actually did a tempory fix for this by opening up the amp and bypassing the switch to set it at only 8ohms. There's a pretty good schematic/wiring diagram that shows the switch and you can figure out the ohms with a multimeter. It's completely reversable as well since the wires just use spade connectors.
