I have been looking at the schematic for the VL-1002 and here is what I came up with:
From Right to left when looking in the back of the amp.
V1 Tube 1 Input Gain and Channel 1 First Stage Pre Eq Gain
V2 Tube 2 Channel 2 First Stage Pre EQ Gain 1 and Channel 1 Second Stage Post EQ
V3 Tube 3 Channel 2 Pre- Eq Stage 2 Gain 2
v4 Tube 4 2 stage Gain Pre- EQ on Channel 2
V5 Tube 5 Reverb x 2
V6 Tube 6 Effects Loop and Post-Reverb Main Out
V5 Power Board - Tube 7 This is the tube by the power tubes and looks to be some type of gain stage prior to the power tubes.
Sad thing is I am an Electrical engineer and have never dealt with circuits, so I don't really understand tubes.
Lee told me to use EH 12ax7's and also said China tubes are good. He recommended JJ Tesla El-34 for power tubes.
Awesome! Thanks Mate! my Volume 2 Marshall mod kit/DVD and the Tube Buffered FX loop/DVD as well...just watching the vid now...
Aways,
Thanks Again :-)
