Maybe it's just me but, my sis pointed this out to me when I first got into Dasey and she didn't like them. I think she was just trying to get a raise out of me.

In Male Code Blue when Casey walks in on Sam and Derek fighting.
I'll just type out the whole ordeal:

Casey - "What is going on?"
Derek - "Nothing. Leave."
Sam - "No, Derek, tell her. Tell her about the stupid 'male code'." Their fight breaks apart.
Derek - "Wait. That's why we're wrestling?"

Did he think they were fighting over Casey? I think SO.

Every shipper I've ever talked to wonders why it is Derek said that and we all agree (to the best of my knowledge). I don't know what exactly he thought they were fighting about but it was definitely over Casey herself, not the code.

Male Code Blue was the first LWD episode I ever saw, and I thought that they were involved in a love triangle.

So no, you are definitely NOT reading too much into it!

Ok the only other thought that isn't Dasey that Derek might have thought they were wrestling because he thought they were just play wrestling like they used to. That's what they told Nora. However the conversation prior completely blows that theory out of the water.

Sam is going upstairs. Derek asks where he's going. Sam says he's going to brush his teeth.

It's like this: -he stops him from going upstairs to see her and acts supsicious when Sam says he's brushing his teeth. "Where's your toothbrush?"

-shoves him when he won't tell him where he's going

-acts really upset when he says he's going to see Casey. "why?" (tell me that isn't jealousy?)

-Sarcastic comments: "I thought about what Marti said and i''m gonna ask Casey to marry me "Really? can I be your best man?" "welcome to the family bro" lots more shoving

-When Derek gives the classic line "That's what we're wrestling about" and Casey gets mad at Derek about the code, he turns it right back to Sam saying "don't blame me, Sam's the one who listened to me" diverting her attention. She gets angry with Sam.

So. What else could have he think they were wrestling about? Casey, duh! :p It's obvious to us Dasey-shippers!

Yeah, I think that quote is something that most shippers find interesting. If they weren't fighting about the code, it makes sense that they were fighting about Casey based on the conversation before the fight.

What I don't get is Sam's excuses for going upstairs. I mean, he could of easily said "I have to go to the bathroom" or something, but instead he comes up with this unbelievable excuse of brushing his teeth in the middle of the day (I'm assuming).

That line was left unexplained and it seems that the writers were teasing us. As someone said above, sorry but can't remember who, due to their conservation before the fight, the most logical answer would be Casey, herself.
