Okay...so how's this for weird/freakish...I wrote/plotted out (never published) a story that was creepily similar to the Prom episode.

In my story Max has to go to his grandmother's funeral on Prom night and Casey freaks out because her date abandoned her, her hair isn't working and her dress gets a tear in it. And Derek is 'too cool' to go to Prom. And he ends up being kinda jockeyed into taking her.

Sooo weird to me. I wrote this ages and ages before that episode aired. I freaked out when I watched this episode cos of the plot similarities.

Well, Mike and Ashley DO read the fanfics... maybe they were inspired and brought it to the writers' attention? Razz
