Hi everyone!
First off, the title is a teensy bit misleading. haha. But bear with me if your already here!
So.....some background on moi. My name is Meghan, Sabine is like an alter ego. An old roleplay name. I'm 24(25 next month) and I live in boring, cold, blustery Winnipeg.
Once upon a time, i used to have internet hooked up at my house. But when I moved, i no longer had roomates and couldn't afford to hook it up again.....maybe later this year though. And so begins how I had SOOOOOooooooo much time to devote to something other then online activities.
My best friend Jessica, (whom coincedentally, i met on a forum just like this one for a different Canadian teen show's forum) is a big sucker for family channel shows. Specifically neds declassified school survival guide. And our mutual fave show had ended(15/love), so I was in desperate need of a new show to fawn over and since I told Jess that I would start watching "NDSSG" when I could, I would usually catch LWD first.
I fell in love. The show began to infiltrate my thoughts, dreams, even my long retired hand at writing stories. I noticed the Dasey-ness before I even knew there was a vast following of people shipping them. When I had access to someone else's internet connections, I would do searches and was pretty much a sponge for everything and anything LWD, until I saw how many people were Pro-Dasey. The Dasey shipping began! WOOHOO!!
Meanwhile, I found this forum towards the end of January. Lurked for a while since I didn't see the point in registering since I wouldnt be able to respond to posts much. But after reading thread after thread, I simply ITCHED to have my opininons and thoughts on some of the topics here heard.
I tried to register at the beginning of april. And as you all know, you have to be activated by an admin. Well..... the majority of april came and went, with no luck, so I contacted Steph while at a cyber cafe. I wasn't able to get her response till a while later of course, and she didn't know why, but it didn't go through. She suggested I try again, so I did. Still no luck. Finally today, in my desperation, I added a bunch of ya'll to my msn list(after reading the MSN convo thread). So to those I added, I'm not scary, or a stalker or anything of the sort. I am however a dedicated fan.
At last Miranda(LadyAzura) was kind enough to get it nipped in the butt for me. And VOILA! here I am.
it's great to be part of a forum community again. The one I admin'd for is still up, but very very slow compared to back in it's heyday. We all became like family, and as previously mentioned, I met my very closest friend because of it. (Yes, she lives in my city too!) I can only hope for a similar experience here, because you all seem like such a great crowd. I hope to talk with you all soon. But for now, I have to say goodbye since the cyber lounge I'm in right now is closing in 8 mins.
Incase any of you are curious though, I'll give you something to do until we meet again....
Well Meg, we're all very excited you can join us. The more the merrier! Haha. Hmm...I have to hurry up...my dad is waiting for this computer...(my internet is currently down. damn computer!) But anyways, thanks so much for joining us and I hope you stay for awhile...you haven't run from our weirdness when you got the chance but its too late now. *evil laugh*
