When I switch from channel I to II it seems to lag just a little... In effect I have to switch before I pick the note I want distorted. It doesn't seem to do it when I switch back. Is this normal - something I just need to adapt to?
Also the red channel LED (on the footswitch) is dimmer than the green reverb LED. Again, is this normal?
The switch is the Ampeg AFP-2, but it was the same thing with the previous I had, a Marshall...

Shit, I just modded my amp with my own hands!!
I AM A FUCKING BENCH WARRIOR!!!
And tomorrow... I'm gonna test the bias... ! (Won't adjust, though, just lookie...)
Oh, let me add: I do fear high voltages, but the amp hasn't been plugged in since september.... _________________ Less is more, but more is way way more.

Be very careful, amps can be unplugged for a long time and still throw a bad zap at you. The caps can store voltage for a long time, so ALWAYS discharge them before you work on the amp. I suggest making a small discharge tool with a couple of insulated clips and a 5Watt resistor just for safety.
My dad learned the hard way once, and he took a bad shock. Dont make the same mistake.
Allright then, switching has sped up bigtime.
I read -41/480 volts on the EL34s - so I'm good I guess. _________________ Less is more, but more is way way more.
