slightly relating to Dasey. now i will admit the only reason i even saw this movie featuring the ever witty and bubbling ashley tisdale is because, of course Lauren Collins (Kendra) and Robbie something (Max). I had an extreme amount of fun realizing that Max (because thats how I know him) is just as bad at acting in Picture This as he is in Life With Derek. No offense to those of you who like Max and the actual actor but personally I think he needs some acting skills. I mean he was exactly like Max the entire movie! Although that shot with his shirt off? If that shot was in LWD Im sure I would have liked Max a lot more! Lauren Collins was awesome as always.
For some reason all I could think about was Dasey the entire movie. Well more like.. " I wonder if Robbie and Lauren are talking about the new Dasey twist in LWD?" Im big on wishing..
Well what do you guys think? Not exactly sure what this has to do with Dasey but I think we can insult Max in here if you want.
Location: Windfall island (from Zelda: the wind waker)

Well I didn't watch the movie (and probably never will), but me and my sister kept seeing commercials for it last week and at one point I said "Ew, I can't stand him! he's like a Wax figure!" (because all us Daseyers call him Wax when he plays Max on LWD )
Then my sister says "He is a wax figure. Like from that movie house of wax or something."(which I've never seen) but I just found it interesting that she agreed with me considering she's NEVER watched LWD and doesn't even know that he's on the show. XD
I watched it and have to admit I did like the movie especially love Lauren Collins, not sure what to think of her hair. I agree, don't think Robbie brought much to the Drew character and he did remind me a bit of Max except he was a little more than one dimensional. I'm not sure if I would really blame it on his acting because i've never really been a fan of the really popular guys the unpopular girl want to be noticed by. I was always more interested in the flawed characters.
This being said, in the beginning of LWD when Emily was all fan-girl over Derek if we didn't see his funny, quirky, conflicted and soft side the character himself would have seemed one dimensional being an object of affection and the most popular guy in school but of course we fell in love with Micheal Seater and what he brought to the character of Derek Venturi. So I think it can go both ways. Good writing and what you can make of the character. Although really good actors can make bad writing look good.
If this doesn't really fit in the Dasey discussion section perhaps it could move it to LWD discussion and other projects section.
Though can't get enough of Wax bashing! _________________
Meh, I saw the movie. And really, it was funny, but the end was horrible, what the hell was Mandy thinking? Getting back with him without getting a explaination for the shower thing? And was he ever meaning to you know, follow the tradition? Or was it a misunderstanding? I was majorly confused by those details, but the phone punks were funny, and Shenae and Lauren really shined, even more so than Ashley, I would say, though she was good too. It had some feel good moments, it had some bad moments, (mostly ones Drew were in) and though I wouldn't watch it more than twice, it kept me entertained. Not something that'll stick in your mind for more than a week, though. _________________ "... I know that love is unconditional. When I first heard of this movie, I wasn't expecting for it to be all that good.
I felt like I couldn't really relate to Ashley's character because it didn't really jump into a back story on why she is a social outcast or anything. So I had a hard time rooting for her to get the guy when I didn't really understand her character. She didn't come off very well because of the lack of character depth. The whole movie it was all "I never get anything, boohoo, just once...". I felt like she didn't deserve to have the guy, to go to the party, etc. Also you cannot tell me that taking a pair of glasses can make the popular jock fall in love with you. I mean you could say that he was only being nice to get her upstairs to the tower but still. I didn't know whether I should hate the guy or like him.
That's the other thing too is that they tried to make it seem like all he wanted to do was invite her upstairs to see his photography. Try to make it seem that deep down he is a sweet sensitive guy who just likes taking pictures of the things around him, yeah not buying it.
I don't know why Ashley's friends (I keep saying Ashley because I forgot her name) put up with her. If I was one of her friends in that situation I would give up and go home. Her attitude the whole movie was very annoying.
The movie also felt like one big ad for those phones, and not a very good one at that. Who wants a phone that their parents will have them video wherever they are to prove their whereabouts? Not me, not because I have anything to hide but if I tell my parents I'm going to a certain place, I will be at that place. It's an invasion of privacy.
The ending also was very awkward. There was no time for cleanup so with a quick fix they had them get together at prom. Yeah that whole idea made total sense....not. They should have just ended it with her not getting the guy because he turned out to be a total jerk.
My view on the movie is not based on the fact that I hate Max BTW, it was just horrible. _________________
