Hi Guys,

well how's this for a simple enough request?

I've just got hold of a Revell 1/32nd scale Piper Super Cub and would like to have some close up images, to aid in my build.

In particular I'd appreciate close ups of the engine compartment, the cockpit interior, full floats/attachments/rigging and any other area's that require modification for float operations.

Also does anyone have any pointers to the use and installation of low wattage lighting, for nav lights etc, as I'm new to modelling but would like my first build to be a great one, before going onto my Grumman Goose!

Any general shots showing interesting colour schemes would also be great.

Bell-ringing time - I have a recollection of one NZ Cub being operated on floats many years ago by Oakair Aviation Ltd., Christchurch. Fumbling around in my database, I have it logged as ZK-BPC, an ex-topdressing Cub that was used as a floatplane in 1970. Returning to wheels, it had several more owners before being destroyed in a landing accident in 1998.

Morning chaps,

I've just heard that Revell are to release a float version of their 1/32nd scale piper Cub in May 2009, under box ref 04698.

This therefore allows me to start my current project as a land based mode, before ordering the float version.

What a great start to 2009!!!!
