|
|
I'm sure we've all had these moments. We'll be minding our own business, when something LWD-related jumps out at us.
I had two today. While I was at work, a woman came in and asked about wedding invitations. Apparently a Kendra and Derek were getting married (with those exact same spellings). Of course, my mind goes back to a fanfiction that revolves around this subject (and later becomes Dasey).
A little later, I find myself making a full copy of a 250 page book about everything involved in a Tenasca coal energy plant. About 2/3 into the book, I see "Venturi Scrubber." It deals with chemical solutions and whatnot, but I didn't care. It said "Venturi," and I kept seeing Derek's face. It just struck me as very random, and I loved it.
Any other stories?

| At my old job, my supervisor had this 'cousin' only it wasn't her real cousin and he lived with her. And he liked her and he got jealous whenever her and her boyfriend would kiss and it reminded me of Dasey/LWD so much. Plus like I think I even said, why don't you go out with him (before I knew she had a boyfriend) and she's like eww, that'd be like incest. He's like family, etc. |

I can't think of a specific thing, but I definitely do that all the time. I'm pretty sure it happens at least once a day. _________________

My world religion textbook had a quote from some kid about faith or something. The kid's name: Derek V.
I totally flipped out. However it's hard for me to imagine Derek going to church or something... _________________

My connection was there before LWD.
My friend nicknamed me Ralph (my fav non main Character, maybe my fav character) a few years ago. I went to Toronto to the Royal Agriculutre Winter Fair and when I got back I had my MSN name as RAWF Princess and the bad reader that she is thought it said Ralph Princess. Now All my friends call my Ralph and I can't help but love that one of my absolute favourite characters is called Ralph (and lately I freak out, because I'm super LWD obsessed)! _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/~allybooklover6677

I was reading the Twilght Series and I came across the name of a vampire coven with the name "Volturi"! It was so close to Venturi that I immediatly thought of the whole McDonald-Venturi family as vampires hahahaha! _________________

^lucky you
I don't have any more connections really. Except that I called my 8 year old sister Casey (I had just got off the computer and I was still thinking about LWD, though I don't normally stop thinking about LWD). She was acually happy to be called Casey and wanted it to be her new nickname (strange) _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/~allybooklover6677

Holy crap!! My religion textbook had that too!!! That's probably to do with the fact we're both in Toronto, and have the same TCDSB curriculam and textbooks.
But yeah, when I read that I was freaking out, too
And, also, one of the teacher's in my school is Mr. Venturin. I always spazz out whenever I see his name somewhere _________________ Veronica

Lol me neither. The other day we got a package in the mail from a "London", and I was like... we don't know anyone in England. And then I remembered London, Ontario from a LWD discussion here and I was like ... OH!!! Hahaha I felt so smart for knowing that, especially since something kooky had happened with another package of a friend of my family's and it had been sent to London, England instead of London, Canada. It was just too funny. I love that I learn geography from a TV show.
And oh yea I've grown particularly fond of the terms "keener" and "slacker", but I haven't had a chance to use them on anyone yet. But I will soon, since college is starting back up and most of the people I hang around are mostly slackers like Derek. Speaking of the hockey god... I love the way Derek dresses. I mean, I'm a girl and all, but seriously, I like Derek's clothes. I wear a lot of guy's shirts lol, and hoodies, and I've noticed that Derek's been wearing hoodies (or shirts like hoodies) a lot lately, and I've been trying to imitate that a bit. I also love his T-shirts, and I've been trying to get some that look a bit like his. And I would kill for a necklace like his, too... _________________ --"Don't you know there are exceptions to all my rules?!?" [Casey]

2 things.
1. Derek has become my real life muse. Literally, he hangs around inside my head and helps me with stories (not just fanfictions, all of them) and in turn, I write stuff from his POV when I write LWD fanfics
2. I met a girl today named Cassandra. But everyone calls her Casey. And she's a total Keener!
BTW Immortalz, I go by SuperKeener cos I can't use Keener IRL but I'm a total Keener IRL anyway. |

^ I have a friend named Cassandra that goes by Casey. I wouldn't call her a keener though even though she does often get good grades.
I myself am a funny mix of Derek and Casey. I'm lazy, selfish (like Derek, not always but sometimes), and somewhat disorganized. My Casey like qualities are: organization (my room is a disater but my locker, and my desk back in elementry school, have to be organized properly at all times). I also over analyze everything, talk myself into awkward situations, am insanely emotional (no offence to Casey), and I love to make lists.
But then there are more qualities. I can't sing or dance (I think we are given the impression that Derek can't), I clean, do house chores or work out when I'm really bothered (again, like Casey), and there are more that I can't think of at this hour! _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/~allybooklover6677

Speaking of geography, I used the mall locations in the 2007 "Spring Break-Out" tour to help me remember some of the Canadian provinces for my university Geography final.
When we were studying in the last minutes before class, I was spouting off the provinces from west to east while everybody else was struggling. Thank you LWD! _________________
