so instead of adios derek how about adios casey. she leaves because she has the chance to be an exchange student. and its all about how she is gonna leave and derek finds out hes gonna miss her.. i hope someone can write this story if it hasnt already been done..

Don't think I've seen that one yet but it'd be better - I think - if she actually did leave and niether one realized how much they missed each other until a couple of months in. Then they - in round about ways - start writing or calling or whatever and over time grow close and then start counting the days til her return. Just a thought.

I would definately read something like that.

If I wasn't wrapped up in writing a fic at the moment I may write it, but I AM writing something but since I won't, I just thought that I'd tell you it was a great idea with a lot of potential and I hope someone takes it!
