So, I was watching The Bet this morning, while my mom was kind of wandering around the house doing various chores. Anyway, in the scene where Edwin went to Derek's room with all that guyliner on, my mom was walking into the kitchen, and all of a sudden she backed up and was like, "It looks like he's wearing make-up."
And I replied, "That's because he is." So she asked why, and I told her he was trying to be cool.
So she watched for a couple minutes, and then suddenly said, "He would make a beautiful Egyptian girl," and I burst out laughing.
I'm slowly getting my entire family hooked on LwD. I've watched The Room, The Party, Don't Take a Tip From Me, and Battle of the Bands with my dad, and The Party with my mom. I may have even gotten my sister interested, though she seems to think that just because she's 21-going-on-22 she's better than those types of shows. But she's so not.
I know I may have interested my sister because I was watching The Party with her in the room on her computer, and my mom came in to watch the rest of the episode and asked what was happening, and before I even opened my mouth, my sister went into a full episode synopsis. I love it.

Well, my parents are not obsessed per say, but I think they like Dally. Because once, I walked on them watching When Derek Met Sally really really intensely.
Well it didn't make me as happy as I would've been had they been watching some more dasey episodes, but I was moderately pleased that they like the show, because I plan on a full out dasey attack on them soon . _________________
Haha. Ok. I remember I was watching House of Games once on TV. It was WAY back...before my brother went off to college. And so my brother was going to do some laundry or something and after he dumped his clothes in the washer he actually stood there watching it. When he wasn't looking, I smirked. Haha. And then HE ACTUALLY SAT DOWN AND WATCHED THE REST WITH ME!
I was shocked! And he didn't ask me to give him the controller so he could watch something else. A moment I will never forget! Haha. But yeah, I've gotten my parents to watch my music videos sometimes...and my mom thought the dasey vid I made was pretty cool. And that they made a cute couple! But that was before she knew they were stepsibs...but she still thought they made a cute couple!My dad was more interested in the cool effects though. And I talk about LWD in front of them a lot...my next phase...watching it in the living room when my parents get home. MUAHAHAHA!

My brother has been a fan of the show since Season 2. He's actually currently catching up on the unseen episodes. (We watched 2 last night at his request.)
My parents have seen a few episodes here and there. My mom pays attention more than my dad though. (During "Bully Brothers," she kept commenting about feeling sorry for Derek.) _________________
It's working! Hehe. So I turned on the TV when my parents came home and THANKFULLY there was three LWD episodes in a row! It was...um, Fright Night, Derek Un-Done, and Summer School Blues. Haha. They didn't pay attention to Fright Night because they were busy putting the groceries away and making lunch...during Derek Un-Done is when my mom started to pay attention. She made a comment about how cute Max was and I was all, "UGH! I can't STAND him!" She's all "Really?" And I'm all, "Yes!" Then it was a cut away scene to Derek and Sally. She's all, "Do you like him?" About Derek...Me: "I LOVE HIM!" Then Derek and Sally kissed. My mom was all, "Ooooh."
Me: "I HATE HER! UGH!"
My mom: "Then I hate her too. I hate her GUTS!" Haha. She glared at the TV too. Haha. I GOT HER TO HATE SALLY! I don't know if she still likes Max though...I don't know.
Then there was thankfully an AWESOME dasey episode! This time she actually sat on the couch with me and watched it! She laughed and was even asking me questions about it. Haha. And then WOWP came on for two episodes...she watched those too! It was funny because she predicted everything that was going to happen. We both love Justin. Haha. Phase 1 complete! Next time...I'm going to make little "Aren't they such a cute couple?" comments when LWD comes back on again. MUAHAHAHAHA! _________________ Underneath all of my names...I'm still one person: Julie
My mom watchs LWD with me sometimes, the only bad part is she's a *gag* MASEY SHIPPER (oh, and she thinks he's a "hottie", eww!) Kat and I must put our plans into action! haha! She does watch my videos sometimes though, and seems to like them. I catch her making little Dasey comments and all I can do is smirk, I think she's a closet Dasey shipper. I must fully convert her, MUAHAHAHAHA! _________________
Haha, I'm trying to get my dad into the Dasey thing, because even though both of my parents are into the strange romantic pairings (my mom ships John/Cameron (The Sarah Connor Chronicles), aka robot/human, with me, and she didn't have a problem with the whole Chuck/Vannesa [aka stepniece and stepuncle] thing in Smart People, and my dad caught Peter/Claire [before it was found out they were related, obviously] early on in the beginning of Heroes. He always makes random outbursts when we watch television like, "I bet they're going to get together.")
So far I haven't shown any of them any episodes of LWD with any romantic interests what-so-ever. I have a plan. This week after American Idol I'm planning on showing my dad either The Wedding or Summer School Blues. Summer School Blues has amazing Dasey, but The Wedding has the whole Derek/Victoria thing to open the mind to Dasey. (Like a yoga exercise. Cough, I think I'm sleep-deprived.)
Sadly, my mom still doesn't know who's Derek, which I find extremely sad (Or the difference between Ned's Declassified and LWD. Even more sad). Oh, and another story: George was in a scene at one point when my mom walked in, and she was like, "Wow, that man is gorgeous. Hey, I'm pretty sure I've seen him in something before. I'll IMDb the show." and in my mind I was going, 'Scroll down to the forums, see all the Dasey threads.' But I think she completely forgot to look it up.
Also, this is just my Dasey-warped mind, but when my dad walked in midway through The Room where Derek and Casey were downstairs in the middle of the night, he was like, "They're brother and sister?" all disbelievingly and I replied, "No, step-brother and sister," and he made this relieved, "Ohhh." I don't know, that made me happy, for absolutely no reason what-so-ever. But I'm trying to maintain some ounce of hope that my dad knows about the Dasey. _________________
I got my sister HOOKED.
She likes breathes Dasey now. Haha.
She only watches the show because of Dasey, which I think is pretty amazing. She's also my #1 fan to my vids :3
Like, she's always, "finish the vid Paige! I wanna see the rest! I know you can do it!"
My mom thinks LwD cute, idk if she ships Dasey. Haha.
But I think my dad does. He likes my vids also. x3
They're all pretty supportive of my LwD/Dasey obsession.
Whenever it comes on TV, we all watch it together.

My mom is a Dasey supporter. She doesn't like, stop whatever she's doing because LWD is on. She sees it, says it should happen, and is totally okay with my love of it. Plus she doesn't like Sally =)
My brother denies that he even watches LWD. But I know he does. He hacked into my youtube account once to watch some Dasey videos. He did once tell me that he thinks Casey is hot. =)
My dad is like '....no...' He's too conservative to see the Dasey. Plus he doesn't watch LWD much to begin with, only snippets of episodes when he comes into my room. _________________
Hehe. Thanks Kat. And yeah...Max is eeeewww! See, I'm going to have a HARD time convincing my mom of dasey. I tried to interview her for the documentary thing and I was almost in tears because she thought it was "wrong" in certain aspects. I didn't fully explain dasey but I asked a generalized question about stepsibs in love. ARGH! I WILL CONVERT HER! Rofl. My dad? I don't know...I'll have to ask him on his opinions. He could go either way...hm....I'll ask him when my mom isn't around so he can't be swayed by her. lol.
HE HACKED IN?! That is hysterical! And awesome! Muahahaha! The daseyers are spreading! I really want my mommy to support it...but I doubt she will. My mother's watched LWD with me a couple of times. She finds it quite amusing, but wouldn't go out of her way to watch it (not that she could, since it's not on a channel we have ...).
She does sing the theme tune as "I'm in love with Derek" instead of "This is life with Derek", though, so maybe she sees the Dasey!
my mom has watched it with me sometimes. during that 3 episode marathon i think during the episode derek undone she commented about how unattractive max is. i of course agreed said he was a waste of space . my mom always teases me about my crush on derek.
