I think they could bring back both Max and Kendra if like, they started to date each other, but of course, they wont do that. The only other time I could see max coming back was if they did a graduation thingy if it was senior year (with the lwd timeline im really not sure what year theyre in) i could see him being there and like Casey standing up to him for being the worst boyfriend ever or something...idk...
but otherwise i'm through with max. Your right, they made him way too...flat, and ken doll-ish.
But I have to say Nasey is going to be a lot harder to kill...as I've mentioned somewhere else as part of my "Happily ever after" theory. Noel has a lot more personality, traits both like Casey and not....Its like..."perfect" well, not in our minds...but stereotypically. (hence the quotes)
Any ideas of how they could kill it for dasey?
I've sadly been unable to think of even one realistic option
Although I have many less realistic including him *accidently* falling into a big vat of chocolate and dying...mwhahaha

Ok, I have a rant on Noel somewhere...

So, my guess would be that the problem would be the same with Sam. Everyone thought they were perfect together, that they were the made for each other couple, but they broke up because of something stupid, which I still can't pin point.

Noel is boring, nice, sure, but passionless and boring. And he's practically a spineless version of the old Casey. A good relationship changes you for the better, Max changed her into a bimbo, she changed Sam into a pushover like Noel, and the only who we've seen that actually improved Casey is Derek. Noel will have absolutely no effect on Casey, and if he had, then it would change her back into the season 1 persona. Now I don't know about you, but season 1 Casey annoyed the heck outta me, it's only in Season 2 and 3 that she redeemed herself, so I DO NOT want to see that Casey again.

So my point is, I think the show will end in single Casey and Derek, with some hints of future dasey, but NO NASEY(Thank god).

My old rant is longer, but I don't want to anger any nasey fans here, so I'll stop .

I think the biggest reason Sam stuck around after the breakup is because he was introduced as something other than Casey's love interest. He has a long friendship with Derek and in D-rock. Max and Kendra just showed up merely as a love interest. Now it's true that Casey and Kendra did have some interaction. (tutoring, Kendra trying to set Casey up, etc.) Derek and Max had sort of a Hockey vs. football rivalry which was addressed is a couple of episodes. (Derek Undone, Bully Brothers) Other than that there was not enough interaction for the character to hold themselves. I do think that Kendra could have maybe stayed around for a mutual friendship with Derek and Casey but it was also shown that Derek couldn't handle an after-break-up friendship. Max is completely gone because A) nobody could quite stand his character so why bring back an unpopular character and B) His only purpose was his effect on changing Casey for the worse and her realizing she needed to find her self.

About Noel. I agree. I don't think he'd bring anything to a relationship with Casey. They have much more chemistry as friends than anything more. I admit when they first introduced his character I did like them together but after her relationship with Max ended she needs to be single for a while. It would be out of character for Casey to jump into a relationship right away, especially since she has been trying to find her self again.

Now I don't dislike Noel as a character, he did see the changes in Casey too. The problem with Noel and even Sally is that we don't know enough about either of them. I think that the only way I could accept that if she were to end up with Noel it would have to be gradual thing, there would have to be more to his character growth that we've never seen before. He was only in two episodes. (Yes we probably know a little more about him than we ever did with Max.) I just can't accept Casey's character to get into another relationship so quickly after the way her break up ended. Casey needs to find herself and that is something she must do single.
