"You're treating me like Derek treats me."

Okay, so I might have just crossed the line into completely warped, but man, did this quote scream Dasey to me.

Anyway, it's from Male Code Blue, after Derek tells Sam that Casey's off-limits and Sam's trying to act as if he doesn't like Casey by basically being a jerk.

Casey then asks if everything's fine (or something to that extent) and Sam's like, "Yeah" or whatever (I'm a great storyteller) and Casey replies, "Really? Because you're treating me like Derek treats me."

Which brings this thought to mind: Sam was a jerk to Casey because he was trying to mask the fact that he liked her.

And if he was treating her like Derek treats her, then wouldn't that mean that Derek also secretly likes Casey, and that's why he's treating her like that?

I know it sounds weird, but it makes perfect sense to me.

That makes PERFECT sense. And I think it's definitely true as well. If Sam had been genuinely being a jerk to Casey and then Casey said that quote then it'd be different. But he was awkwardly being a jerk in order to mask his feelings.

I always thought that quote was a little displaced because I didn't really think Sam was being a jerk to her, just being a bit cold. I like your Dasey spin on it. It definitely makes sense!

I never would have caught that! I didn't think Sam was treating her bad (which was how Derek treated her at the time) but that makes more sense (like when they fight and Derek doesn't know that they were fighting about the male code, for non-daseyers it makes completely no sense)
