So, yeah, I have't spoken to my Dad or anyone from that side of my family for five years. And then a few days ago, I found one of my relatives on Facebook. I was really excited......until I learned I have a half sister I never even knew about. And then my Mom acts like it's not a big deal. It IS a big deal, I have a SISTER, how is that not a big deal?!!!

I just don't know what to do with this information.

Well, she's only one, but why wouldn't my Dad tell me? It's true that we haven't talked in five years, but when we used to talk, he would tell me that he missed me and he really wanted to be a part of my life, so why wouldn't he at least try to get ahold of me to tell me that he remarried and had a baby?

P.S: My new step-mother (wow, how weird is that) is 25 and he's 41!

...maybe he was afraid of your reaction. But yes that's weird. I can't tell you what to do since I've never been in this situation.

the same thing happened to me. well kinda.

when i was five or six me and my brother would go to my dads house every break. and it wasn't until i was 9 until i found out i had a half sister.

turns out that when i was six and my sister wanted to come over my dads house when i was there, he didnt let her come.

so i felt, and still feel, that he should've told us. and another thing is that she is older than me.

so i know how you feel.
