I'd give this a 7.5!
First of all, she cuts Derek out of the family... Methinks it's because she likes him, and not as a step-brother... 
They fought and (to my thinking) flirted quite a bit.
She woke him up, twice... Again, she just walked into his room.
He did the 'extra' of her in the bathroom... Haha. I wonder why he's always following her around. 
And at the end, they argue/flirt.
All in all. Love.

I agree with your rating. I'd have to argue though, that Casey cut him out because he was being uncooperative, not to flirt with him, and he was being uncooperative because he was bitter that he didn't get the assignment and she did.
That scene WAS Dasey though, because it was obvious Derek was hurt by her cutting him out of the family. That made him one step further from getting to Casey's heart.

Poor Derek! Casey treats Derek mean in the episode but at least he's not the only one that she cuts out of the family. That would definately imply Dasey (or the antis warped ideas on how they fully hate each other  ).
