This made me laugh so hard ...
Robbie Amell and Hayley Alcroft have joined the cast of “Scooby Doo 3″, shooting next month in Vancouver under the directon of Brian Levant.
Amell, best known for his role as ‘Max’ on TVs “Life with Derek”, plays ‘Fred’ in the prequel movie. The Canadian-based actor appeared in last year’s “American Pie : Beta House” and before that, “Cheaper by the Dozen 2″.
Talented newcomer Alcroft, who appeared in “Unfabulous” (2004) with Emma Roberts, plays ‘Velma’ in the movie.
The duo join Nick Palatas (’Shaggy’) and Kate Melton (’Daphne’) for the flick.

Is it sad that I am excited for this? It's not that Robbie will be in it, just...I love Scooby-Doo. I didn't think they were ever going to go through with a third movie, there was talk of a "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" movie, but not a prequel.
It will be very interesting to see Robbie with bleach-blonde hair, I mean with his dark skin, it will take some getting use to seeing him like that, and it will be quite funny.

D: I love Robbie and all but, srsly, Freddie Prince Jr NAILED Fred on Scooby-Doo.
This makes me sad.

I just looked the movie up on imdb and apparently it won't be released in theaters. It's going to be a movie of the week or whatever for Cartoon Network.

I just saw a preview during LWD about a movie Robbie's in with Ashley Tisdale too.... anyone else see that?

^Yeah, I saw it on ABC Family once. Lauren Collins was in the movie too. It was okay, I guess. Not the biggest Ashley Tisdale fan but I like her work. Though as I watched their scene all I could think was:
"Maddie/Max? Madx? I CAN'T THINK OF A NAME! D:"
lol.
Though I honestly can't picture him with Blonde hair. At all.

Some more news on the movie, it's being filmed right now in Vancouver. It's going to be released on DVD by Warner Premiere in late 2009 along with it premiering on Cartoon Network around the same time.
This article confirms that Robbie is in it and gives a little more information on the movie.
