Alright, so I was looking up names for characters for a book I plan to write one day, when I got curious and decided to look up the names and meanings of the LWD characters' names, and I noticed some interesting parallels between some of their names, the meanings and their personalities.
Derek - Ruler of the people
Edwin - Rich friend
Casey - Descendant of Cathasach, a name which itself means 'vigilant' or 'noisy'
That's all I found so far, but do you sort of see the parallels? I thought it was pretty interesting, so I decided to share it with you guys. What do guys think?

Heh, Derek rules the people (using his charm of course).
Edwin is kinda a rich friend. He's always lending Derek money and is a friend to him when he needs to be.
I had to search up vigilent to find out what it meant (i know, bad vocab) it means: alertly watchful especially to avoid danger. Casey's like that! And she also is particularly noisy whenever she's around Derek. |

Great finding! I don't think that's a coincidence, though. Maybe they were doing the same thing that you were doing: looking for names and meanings for a tv show (or a book, in your case), and they decided that those names fitted their characters perfectly... or maybe it was a coincidence, lol.
By the way, could you please give me the link of the page where you found this? Now I'm really curious about some names
