Harry Potter Delay and Twilight Push Up

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince got delayed to open until July 2009 and Twilight's release date got moved up three weeks!

So a negative and a positive.

Awww! That's bittersweet for most of us. Bitter cause we gotta wait forever for HP, and sweet because Twilight comes out earlier.

uhhhhh, That is totally not true! Harry Potter is in theatres November 21st/2008! and Twilight comes on December 12th!

EDIT: OMG! I went and saw the harry potter news myself, the new date is July 17th ! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't wanna wait until 2009 to see it!

I went to the twilight movie website and I saw that the release date is......NOVEMBER 21st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy S**T!!!!!!! I stay off the computer for a day and this is what I get! Now I am depressed and excited all at the same time!!!!!

Twilight in theaters November 21, 2008.
Harry Potter in theaters July 17, 2009.

So Twilight pretty much took over the date that was imprinted on a bajillion peoples brains. Which is pretty darn smart if I say so myself.

Yeah, Twilight got pushed up, but only by, like, a month, while Harry Potter's being pushed back 8 months...

Are you serious? That sucks! I really don't want to wait another year for Harry Potter 1) because I'm probably going to be out of town when it's released in theatres and 2) I just started reading Twilight, so I'm not a complete Twilight fanatic yet. 3) I want the Harry Potter movies to be done and over with so I can get them on DVD and watch them over and over.

But I think they did that because, since the Harry Potter series is over with, people have moved onto a different thing to obsess over and Twilight replaced Harry Potter.

i was SOO happy when i found out that twilight was moved up 3 weeks!
i'm not a big harry potter fan though, i could never get into them. i stopped like two chapters into the 5th book and never picked it back up again. :/ oh well, I guess everything isn't for everyone!
but...i mean...of COURSE i like twilight...haha

It is truly bittersweet. I was really sad that it got pushed back but I am really excited Twilight got moved forward.

and the coolest thing.....

IT COMES OUT TWO DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY! EEEEEEEP! I know where I'M going for my 16th birthday. Midnight premiere of TWILIGHT with all my friends...because most of them are Twilight fans.

Yet...HP being pushed back so far...is upsetting...

but EEEP at the same time! *is in the middle*
