First off, let me say that st louis music, loud technologies and a cpl other places i was sent to suck.
I purchased a used vl-1001 which ran perfectly until a stagehand spilled bombay saffire on it. I contacted the above mentioned companies who sent me a schematic only to have it so blurry i couldnt read it. On the tube socket board the hum balance control and resistor next to it were burnt to a crisp, couldnt read or measure anything from it.
So, i called back and asked for a better copy, they said bite me, we allready sent you one, youll have to go to an AUTHORIZED ampeg service center, etc, well i live in florida, and there is no one willing to work on it, not even warranty.
What i would like/need is to find out the value and size of that pot and where i can buy one, if its a "standard" one thats no problem, just need to know the specs of it and if someone could point me in the right direction for a decent, doesnt have to be perfect, schematic for the vl-1001, i certainly would appreciate it.
Thanks !!!
