A few years ago I was pretty obsessed with making banners and avatars and stuff.. I was getting really good at it, too. Lately I have really been wanting to get back into it but I don't have any programs on my computer. I used adobe photoshop back then but it was already on my computer. Are there any free programs that I can download which have the great effects that help your banners look so great? Everyone here has a siggy that is bright, blended, with great text and fonts... That's what I want to be able to do.

A few years ago, I knew many people who created some pretty graphics with PaintShop Pro.

Also, the first program I ever used for graphics was ArcSoft PhotoStudio. I also messed around with MicrosoftIt! Premium before learning PhotoShop.

Paint.NET is pretty fantastic.

And then you can go to 1001 Fonts and/or DaFont.com to download free fonts. They have some pretty fantastic ones.

...I seem to like that phrase. Lol.
