Oooo, I'm okay at foreign languages. I took Spanish I in 7th grade, but I grew up around Spanish, so I'm sick of it. And last year, I got a 100A in first semester of Japanese and 95A in the second. But I think this year is going to be harder because we have a different teacher. D:

^ I wish I had your school attitude! I'm a perfectionist who fails at school (does that make ANY sense??) but I love order and structure and hate school (but I love learning new things, just not when I'm forced to).

Haha school sucks now. I have to take biology lecture/lab, chemistry lecture/lab, calculus 2, and greek and latin roots of english. wonderful, eh?

I like German, it's a fun language. But I LOVE any and all languages.

I do, however, have slight issues pronouncing words, even in English. I don't have the best hearing and often hear words wrong and then say them incorrectly for years.

Yeah, I learned how to say mischevious correctly in Reading (required lol) in 6th grade. But, whenever I say it correctly, people look at me funny and say that it's not correct. Whatever, I just steer from using that word. Lol.
I love languages, too, but I stink at remember what everything means. I can get the sentence structure and grammar correct and I can say it, lol. Just can't remember what it means in English most of the time.
I love school. I like learning, but I hate doing projects and work. Just show me maps, show me pictures, tell me about this, about that, but don't make me do anything. Don't make me have to look something up and write about it, lol.

Today was my first day of school! It was okay but I'm not sure how I feel about my teachers yet. I already have a fair bit of homework. (some of which I forced upon myself (stupid right?) and some which the teachers expect me to have finished for friday (my school has Day1/Day2 structure))

My grade 10 courses today were:
History
Math
English
Career Studies

the first day wasn't so bad. but tomorrow will be better hopefully because I have gym and drama!

that sounds like a difficult choice! I love drama and photography but I'd probably be awsome at debate because I love arguing across a point (it sounds fun (like something Casey would do (and did and might do again)))! Casey is my school idol!! (Okay that sounds dumb)

There are so many pros and cons to each choice! *vaugely wonders what optional courses I have next year*

Drama - acting rocks and seems like a fun thing to do (lol, I mean for a living though plays can rock)

Photography - offers chances to catch special moments and teaches how to take good pictures (mine suck)

Debate - seems like a fun way to prove a point (instead of writing an essay)

but I think you are lucky to have such great choices in grade 11 classes!!

okay, other than loads of homework (not really, I just see it as that much) I'm finding my new classes a little interesting. I'm also enjoying seeing my friends a little more (though some aren't in any of my classes). Who else is enjoying the school year so far??

Okay, I just can't keep this in any longer. ^.^ I feel like yelling it to the world!!!

Okay, so, I had JROTC today, and we got assigned our positions in the company (VERY important thing lol). So, anyways....here's the amazing news: I am a squad leader!!!!! OMFG! I was like, "HOOAH!" And thinking, "LIKE OH MY JESUS, ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?! HOOAH, OH MY FREAKIN' HOOAH, DAMMIT!" Lol, yeah. It's amazing considering I'm a LET 2 (second year in JROTC). It's a good position for me. ^.^ And all squad leaders get promoted to staff seargent. Right now, I'm a private first class (blech!) So, I get to skip over corporal and seargent and go straight to staff seargent!!!!! OMFG! I know it doesn't make that much sense to people who have know clue how JROTC works, but I tried to explain that it's just amazing. ^.^ but, I feel terrible about how I have 3 Assistant Squad Leaders (I will call them ASLs) and one (who is a close friend) is a sophomore (like me, same rank, but she'll be promoted to seargent ^.^) and another ASL is Arganbright, who is a LET 3 and a corporal...higher than me at the moment and has been in JROTC longer. I'm feel SO bad because of that. I don't know. And my last ASL is a senior >.< She's really nice and doesn't really care lol. She's a LET 3 and a corporal as well.

Well, I'm not sure if you guys really read all of that so summary: I'M GETTING PROMOTED AND I HAVE A LEADERSHIP POSITION. ^.^ Lol.

I'm a senior...class of '09!!!

My classes are:
1st) Algebra 2...hate it.
2nd) Business Law...so/so class.
3rd) Core English...like it.
4th) 4th Year French...scandalous!
5th) US Hist/Gov't...erg...
6th)Exploring Childhood...cute!

Yeah. That's basically what I think about my classes, but I've taken some pretty interesting ones over the years...Beginning Journalism, Creative Writing, Careers with Children, Astronomy, Oceanography...
