I have a GP1000 preamp with some issues
It is creating some serious noise when I crank my distortion and master.
I've used this amp through marshall valvestate power amps, The aux input on the front of my Crate GT50 head,and have run it through a TC Electronics processor to a DI with cabinet simulation.
It has served me well, but while in the last setup at home it turned on with this extreme buzz. I replaced tubes twice now.
I find I have to turn my master down and rum my channel volume no higher than 75%. The output has become so sensitive that I can't turn it up much without a massive jump in output to the point of overdriving the TC processor so that it is un usable.
This pre had real life to it, now it is thin and lacks girth.
A complete disapointment.
I had read a review on harmony-central.com about a bill mar mod for this GP1000.
There is no other info on the web anywhere.
What do you know about the mod if anything?
Can I send this Preamp to you for repair?
Plus I need suggestions for running direct at church running pedals up front incase I have been doing the wrong thing with it.
I don't want To use a POD.
