Okay it's been mentioned but I want to actually bring it up to discuss. Truman. Acts. Exactly. Like. Derek.
He's a playboy, arrogant, jerky, rude, a charmer and he annoys Casey. He rates girls (which Derek would totally do), he dates a lot all the time (Again, exactly like Derek), he annoys Casey and makes her upset but he can still charm her. She even says something along the lines of him being 'rude, arrogant, callous..." which is basically what she says about Derek all the time! And she said at the end "You're cute, but your personality needs work" or something like that. Interesting, no? She thinks Derek needs to grow up and needs to act his age all the time. No mention of her thinking Derek is cute but I bet she does.
I give this epi a 4 1/2 out of 5 because Derek and Sally are still dating. Yes, I realize the inherent irony in this statement given the epi's subject matter. I could take Sally in higher doses if not for that connection. I loved Em's new hair. Overall I think this is one of the better epi's they've had in awhile. I like how they ended it, too. An important reminder that personality is more important than looks because it has the ability to change the latter. A less attractive guy can become super cute if he's got a personality you respond well too. In contrast, a gorgeous guy can suddenly become hideous if he's a jerk. And I like how Casey said "you're kinda of cute. but your personality needs some work." Proof that he could get better if he wants too but she's not giving him a shot until he does.
This epi was fabulous.
I definitely agree. This episode was really inspiring and sent out a great message in a real way. Actually at my highschool(when i was freshman) upperclassmen guys made a list of the top 10 or 20 hottest freshman girls--it was ridiculous and girls would actually dress up in order to be put on it. So I could definitely relate. I thought the ending was perfect and I really thought it was one of the better eps this season, the only thing missing was the fact that Sally wasn't. _________________
i just finished watching the episode. and i have to admit this episode was pretty good! the truman guy is hot!! and i think nora's really pregnant. because by the looks of it, she pretty acts like one. i love the last part where casey turns truman down. The dasey part which was the hall scene and the "you think i'm interesting" part made me sqee in delight!! Oh how i love Kendra here. she's so funny. it's a good thing that there is less Sally scene. i hate her. The new look of emily is spankin! i love it! _________________
