ok, I had this idea to write a fic in a new character's pov. If you don't like that idea tell me.
Title: Lindsay's Visit
Rating: (again, not yet decided)
Couples: Dasey with slight Lizwin
Summary: Derek's younger cousin comes for a visist to the McDonald/Venturi household. The first thing that she notices, is the tension between Derek and Casey. Lindsay and Marti plan to get Derek to admit his feelings for Casey instead of the denial he's in.
Edit: kk I was worried enough that this wouldn't work out but I'm almost postive that I won't go through with this.

I dunno. It's never a good idea to make main character OCs. And I'm almost 80 percent sure it has been done. The whole...OC come and get dasey together thing. And, come on, there's only so many ways you can matchmake someone. Almost all fics I've read about that ends in a make out session in a closet. My vote? Save your writing for something that's more original. Also, you're probably gonna self-insert yourself somehow into Lindsay(it's inevitable, you might not realize you're doing it but you will), and no one likes to read self-inserts unless it's a parody.
I dunno. I just have a irrational (or maybe not so irrational) hatred of OCs, self-inserts, and Mary Sues. And not to offend you but it sounds like this fic could have all 3.
Again, you could completely disregard this comment, but...OCs=BAD IDEA.

Good point, part of the reason I'm bringing this up. Most of my story's suck but haveing an OC is one of the reason's I'm warry to write this. And the whole thing about Mary Sue is a really good point. That being said, someone should tell Daphne about how Sally's character is too much of a Mary Sue. To be fair I obviously wanted real feedback. And I didn't want to insert any of mysef in her character if write this, that would be the opposite effect of what I was going for. but thanks for the honesty.

I kind of prefer her age where it is being the way she has to relate to her cousins. She's a little like Derek, but this way she doesn't have to be too much like that. Really I wanted her to be Edwin's age. _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/~allybooklover6677

I know, you don't MEAN to do it. But you will. People always have reflections of themselves in OCs. I mean, no one's gonna make a very important OC incredibly evil (unless they're meant to be). You're gonna self-insert yourself in SOMEWHAT. It's unavoidable, trust me.
