Edwin:"you're showing compassion for Casey"
Derek:"I don't want to be sensitive and tell Casey but not telling her is making me crazy"

Okay I hear all the Anti-Dasey threads that he just cared about her as a sister and didn't want her to be hurt but honestly you expect me to buy that a guy freaks out that much about his step sister getting cheated on?

-doesn't sleep
-can't think straight
-pours orange juice in his cereal (??)
-completely distracted

overprotective brother
-wants to beath the crap out of the guy

Yeah that was all about doing the right thing?

Yeah Derek shows twangs of jealousy once in a while that anti Dasey fans don't want to accept.

But for me, the thoughts going through his brain in this episode were probably along the lines of 'Okay whoa wait a minute. You're messing with my girl. And it's not going to fly with me.'

I think Derek's reactions in this episode go beyond 'overprotective brother'. Actually, I know they do. Edwin is right. He did show compassion for Casey.

Oh yeah, I mean he humiliated Scott and was clearly angry wih him. He didn't tolerate it hardly at all so it should be interesting to see what happens with Max if the scenario of him cheating are true.

This was the episode that further solidified my Dasey fan-shippiness. Plus this was any Dasey video makers dream. Now, I have had some experiance with over-protective brothers. And that is not how they act. My brother just told me that my boyfriend was an idiot and that he could beat him up for me if I wanted. Derek? He FREAKS OUT! He was jealous and this episode could have been furthering his feeling that he had in Male Code Blue. And Edwin had no reactions like Derek

Plus, do you guys remember his reaction when Casey said she was going to go out with him again? He was like 'you're going out with him again??!?'

He was a miserable wreck over the entire situation.

from 4:30-4:40 is another Dasey moment.

edwin: I'm sensing some hostility towards the coach but why? You two seem to have a lot in common.

derek: We do...that's the problem!

(Okay, I don't know if it's just my fangirl mind but, it seemed like Dasey to me.) Derek was distracted and annoyed because Casey was going out with the coach again and the fact that they have "a lot in common" seemed like Derek liked Casey there too...I don't know, just a thought.

Yeah Derek is too headstrong to admit that he really cares for Casey and doesn't want her to be hurt by anyone!

It's like he says in Don't Take A Tip From Me - no one talks to my step-sister like that. Except me.

He's got it bad for her. Haha!

And he did get an insane amount of joy over her wearing his shirt. I wonder if he washed it after that day...

At 2:03, it looked like he was checking her out. He definitely was not looking at her face ; ) Also, where was that other hand when he was standing halfway behind her? It looks to me like he put his hand in his pocket just as he was coming around. Ow-ow.

In "Coach," I think the most Dasey moment came when Derek said, "You're going out with him again?" and Casey answered, "Why do you care?" Then there was that look...

Ah yes, the stares/looks/gazes. Those never get old for me! And they're so frequent! I love every moment they've shared!

At 2:03...yes...he was definately checking her out. He actually does do that in a few different episodes, I can't think of all of them now but Battle Of The Bands was one - and also Make No Prom-ises.
