As alleged winner of Clues in Blue #4, I get to pick the next challenge. Well, since it's a word that is giving me hell elsewhere, let's try.

RECTANGLE

Scatology, irreverence and blasphemy welcome. Brief explanation of wordplay appreciated.

I'm becoming increasingly fond of the regular clue in the listener that is a composite anagram... so here goes.

Confused gent after chuckle? Get the fuck out, square. (9)

(GENTAFTERCHUCKLE - THEFUCK)*

I didn't realise judging was up to me until a few days ago, and it's been action stations here, but here comes the judge...

I probably chose something uninteresting, I was thinking about tesseracts (which would have been a better word maybe), and trying to draw interlocking rectangles on the computer.

There were some fun clues, not a lot I think I would have solved without checking letters. Three I thought rose above to be solvable and grin-inducing.

3rd... boxwood's tricky construction

American leaves recluse with smell inside body (9)

I'd expect to see something like that in a Mephisto, and the definition is nicely hidden

2nd... penfold's two letters at a time approach

Perhaps square couples in middle of screwy acts wank ugly European (9)

Surface reading is a little odd, I guess looking for a word to come after wank that has "gl" in the middle is tricky - pegleg is the only other one that comes to mind.

And our winner (or my winner, adopt it as your winner as you see fit), AngryVocab's scatalogically-obsessed

Not good in the arse - or thereabouts - English box (9)

Roll on next Clues in Blue, the only clueing competition I'm likely to enter.

Oh, and read George vs the Listener Crossword if you want a few good laughs at my expense.

And come see the Feral Chihuahuas season opener on June 15
