OK, first question. I've been playing an MTX 1000 for a couple of years and love it. I run it in 50 watt mode. When engaging the effects loop, I experience signal gain (distortion). It seems wherever I set the send/return levels this happens. When disengage the loop the signal clears up. I've read some about putting a lower gain tube in the loop? It seems the lower the system volume is set, the more noticeable it is. Any comments, ideas, or suggestions? Thanks, Mike

The Loop consists of two gain stages, that you set with the Send and Return controls, to balance the level of what ever floor or rack effect you use in it
You need to always set the amp for the tone and volume you want to play at, then turn on the Loop and set the levels.
I would start with the Loop Send Low 1-3, and the return at 12:00.
If the effect you you are plugging in has a overload light, set the Send control so that it does not overload the effect.
Now take the effect out, put a guitar or patch cable between the Send and Return jacks of the Loop. turn the loop OFF, Play your guitar, now while hitting a chord on your guitar pull the loop on and set the return so it is the same in as out.
Now your loop is set, plug your effect back in and Rock.
If this can't be done with your Loop, then there is something wrong with the loop in your amp.
