I've been waiting patiently for some years for another Lee Jackson.
Ive had everything exept the metal tronix heads.
I would love to see a new stealth with a stand by and a lee jackson makeover cosmetically. The 6V6 power section was actually pretty stought and meaty.
With the new bread of 6V6 coming from Tungsol I would venture to say with an XLS transformer upgrade you would have slam dunk for affordable tone if it were possible. |

| I'd just like to see simple amp heads and/or pre-amps. I don't care if they are reissues of older amps new designs. I just want new amps that give me that Lee Jackson sound since the older ones are so hard to find. All I can find is the Ampegs and sometimes the stealths, but usaully they are not in the best condition. |

| I have seen lots of Ampeg VL 502 and 1002 amps up for sale on eBay lately...mostly the 1002s. They have mostly been in fairly good condition and rarely go for more than $700.00, which is dirt cheap for an amp of this sound , features and build quality. No one bid on a 1002 that had a starting bid of about $375.00. What's with that??? My 502 kills all the Marshalls and Boogies I ever had. I would really like to find a 50 watt XLA or XLS. Let me know if yo know of any for sale. |
