Phew, that was a hard week. TEMPORARY and BROADSHEET have both caused lots of head scratching at the Boaz crossword desk this week so I'm glad of a week off in the CIB contest at least!

Holy schmoly, this is difficult. There are some stunning efforts this week, so with apologies for judging a little bit early, here goes.

Of Boxwood's entries, I found

Relationship in which Angie, Rose and Mat screw around (6,1,5)

by far the most pleasing. This could easily have been a winner if I had judged on another day.

From Anax, the technically brilliant

Threesome OR date with Sotira – that’s difficult (6,1,5).

Working the capitalisation of OR into the surface reading is frankly, brilliant, and this too could easily have won in another week.

Of Penfold's entries, I loved

I don't anticipate standing alone when I call for more CIB's to incorporate the term 'hairy minge'. Good work.

From foggyweb, as usual, a couple of stunners. In particular:

very, very nearly won in an extraordinarily strong field. &lit &hist? Brilliant.

So to the winner, and it is a weird one. It is far from the best clue, 'technically', in that I don't think it quite works as an &lit an there is no real def part to the clue. The 'gets fucked' device is also a well used staple of the CIB section. That said, I love it! Untangling three different anagrams almost gives the feeling of untangling the limbs of a real menage a trois. I imagine!
