I recently got a VL-1002 used at guitar center. Worked fine the first few days, but now after I play for a half hour or so, it suddenly loses about half volume. The volume I had it on before the problem doesn't matter, it does it at both load and quieter volumes. Gimme yer ideas, I am thinkin tubes, prolly the power tubes, but I definatly ain't an expert, any advice helps. Thanks guys.

Jack, Lee's the best man to answer but I had a very similar problem when I bought mine. It turned out to be the tube heater had burnt out. Wasn't expensive to fix but I had to get a tech to do it as I dont feel comfortable enough doing that sort of wiring/soldering

I got it looked at by an expert here in town. He ran all the standard tests and could not make it lose volume at all. I dunno what he did, or whether it was the head at all, but its werkin fine now. Weirdo!!!!

I had the same problem and the tech who fixed it said it was a bad solering connector to the power amp , something like that .
