Looking for a fic~

All right, I wasn't sure where to post this thread, and I figured that the "Dasey Stories" section was as close as I'd get.

I read this story on fanfiction.net a while ago, and I can't remember for the life of me who wrote it, or what it was called. If anyone can offer any input or send me a link to this story, I would be very grateful : )

As best I can remember, Casey was all set to marry Edwin, and things were called off right in the middle of the ceremony as Edwin confessed love for someone else - I'm pretty sure it was Lizzie. The majority of the fic consists of Casey and Derek sitting in the sanctuary talking, and finally he convinces her to go to the reception instead of letting all that food go to waste.

^ Yep. That's the one - at least, the only one that I know of with that particular plotline. Wink

OH! And while we're on the topic of searching for fics... a while back, I was reading this fic and I hardly remember what it's about, but Derek is trying to get with Casey or something and she's going on dates with a bunch of other guys and then towards the end of the fic, Derek pulls her into a classroom (a secluded one) and they start making out, but she's supposed to be dating this other guy or something... so this guy goes looking for her, walks into the classroom and sees them, and is so baffled that he can't even register what's going on.

That's the only scene I remember from that fic. At first, I thought it was "Out of the Blue", but when I re-read it, it didn't seem like it.

Gah. I wanna read it again, but I don't remember what it's called!

lol, this just goes to show how obsessed I am with lwd fics, I remember the plot of every single one I ever read...

the ending fits your description exactly, but I don't get the part where you said Casey dated other guys. She only dated that one guy who found derek and casey making out, and that was only because Derek wouldn't say he was jealous. Even if that's not the fic you are looking for, read it anyways, because this fic is amazing.

Thanks so much, guys! It's one of my favourite LWD fics, and I forgot to bookmark the page. Won't be making that mistake again.

A Casual Comment was the first LWD fic I read, and it really started to get me into the ship. So it has a special place in my Dasey-shipping heart, too d:
