I have this signal chain :

guit :arrow: EQ :arrow: GP-8 :arrow: VL in :arrow: VL send :arrow: EQ :arrow:GP-8 :arrow:Roctron in :arrow: Rocktron out :arrow:
VL return .

So the Rocktron Intellipitch gives the choice between -10dB or +4dB .

When -10dB the VL doesn't have the original dynamic .
( and when I plug the guitar straight in it is so loud with the KT-88 )

When +4dB the dynamic is back but if I raise the volume too much ,
I have a huge squeal with the Channel 3 only !

What do you think of it guys ?

After new test , I stick to +4dB for the last rack before Return of Effect Loop .

I have changed all preamp tubes for clean and cool one , with just a Sovtek LPS in V1 , 12ax7A in V2 V3 , LPS in V4 and EH12AT7 in V5 .

It squeals much less ( or at higher volume ) .

Before I had GE nos in V1 (noisy) , Tung Sol in V2 and V3 ( hard and scooped ) , LPS V4 .

So don't abuse of high gain tube !
