So, what are everyone's top 10 favorite movies of all time?
For me, they'd have to be:
1. The Breakfast Club
2. The Notebook
3. Big Fish
4. White Oleander
5. Joy Luck Club
6. Remember the Titans
7. Pretty in Pink
8. Take the Lead
9. Edward Scissorhands
10. Hairspray
No particular order.

For me, it's....
1) Cruel Intentions (Gotta love Katherine and Sebastian)
2) The Cutting Edge (Love/Hate awesomeness)
3) Hairsprsy (Loved John Travolta as a woman!)
4) The Notebook (Mostly because they remind me of Dasey)
5) Christmas Rush (Dean Cain and Eric Roberts! Hot!)
6) Live Free Or Die Hard (Justin Long and action!)
7) Saved! (I loved Jenna in it! And Maculy Kulkin (?) reminded me of Lucas Grabeel)
Stepmom (Sad, but great!)
9) Juno (Oscar worthy)
10) Sweet Home Alabama (Josh Lucas so hot!)
Wow, I never thought I'd be able to come up with 10 because I'm not a movie watcher, I'm a TV watcher.

Okay... I suck at naming my favorite anything, especially in order, so here are just some movies I love:
School of Rock
Murder By Numbers and United States of Leland (or anything with Ryan Gosling, really)
Romeo + Juliet (The one with Leo)
Hairspray (The original one)
What's Eating Gilbert Grape (This was my favorite movie ever when I was younger.)
I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting. :| _________________ because maybe, you're gonna be the one who saves me.
and after all... you're my wonderwall.

1. Ju-On: the Grudge
Japanese version, American version with Sarah Michelle Gellar is horrible imo =/
2. Night of the Living Dead
1968 version only... remake in the 90s changing the story was annoying.
3. Pitch Black
Vin Diesel battling aliens in perpetual darkness.. and it actually has plot too!
4. Austin Powers 1
Dr. Evil > all
5. Family Guy Movie
Family guy, 'nuff said.
6. Puppet Masters
If you haven't seen it, you really should.. excellent 'body snatchers' type movie.
7. Dawn of the Dead (1978 Version)
I didn't mind the remake, but the classic has a better story imo
8. Audition (Japanese Horror Flick)
ooo theres a person in that burlap sack!! (not for the weak stomached folks)
9. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (Korean Horror Flick)
Incredible movie if you can pay attention to some interesting perspective switch/dreamlike sequences
10. Day of the Dead
Bub is the man. How many zombies do you know that can fire a gun and salute??

^ Someone likes their share of horror movies. The Asian originals are always better than the American remakes, in my opinion.
Have you ever seen "A Tale of Two Sisters"? It's a Korean horror movie. Creeped me out and made me want to sleep with the light on afterwards. I heard they're turning it into a Hollywood remake, which kind of irks me, but since it's starring Emily Browning and Arielle Kebbel, I'm going to go see it. _________________

Actually, I have it.. I didn't much care for it, but I think thats cause when I got it, it cost me way too much money to get it found and shipped over to the states =/
I have a limited supply of Korean horror flicks, bigger set of jhorror.. really like the vengeance series for korean flicks (Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance)
and yea, I agree on the Asian classics being better... it pains my to watch Dark Water, or the American Grudge flicks, having seen how good the originals are. I don't even want to think about how crummy The Eye is gonna be... I absolutely loved the orignal HK version, and its sequel. |
