Here is the first part of my collection of pictures of the biggest of the flying boats built by Rohrbach, the Romar.

Incredible.
Must have been a real sight to see.
The French registration on the first one would give me cause for concern.

It was a Romar 2 with a bigger rudder, which was delivered to France on 01.04. 1931 - Romar II Werknummer: 62 - F-AKEM . Its first flight was on 04.03.1931.

I saw the Romar 3-view drawings on histaviation.com. Does anyone have something better? With more details?

What is the float plane in the background in the first photo. Is it a Farman or a Leo?
