Congratulations to Boxwood on his victory in challenge #010. He has now set us the unenviable task of creating something Timesy from this:

YACHT

As Penfold rightly says - Crumbs!

And Anax thought he was like a scratched record.

Let's try a cryptic def:

She's said to be crude in the main (5)

Crude sounds like crewed, yachts are "she" and in the main = at sea.

Thank you to all of the contributors.
With so many excellent clues, it was quite difficult to decide on my favourites, but here goes:

penfold_61's:Type of club where one might find captain wearing shabby hat at end of jetty? (5) - so nearly the brilliant outright winner but, for me, just a little too wordy, and 'end' is doing double duty.

anax's: Vessel heads for Yarmouth and capsizes after 45 minutes? (5) - almost deserves a place, but I cannot read this without wanting to put HT before YAC

3rd place goes to feathers':
Cathy at sea? (5)
- this one grew on me; though a very simple construction, it remained quite a satisfying clue.

2nd place goes to AngryVocab's:
They can drift pointlessly or sail (5)
- though not quite an '&lit' as 'they' suggests plural.

1st place goes to NigePun's:
Shipshape theocracy with its rotten core removed (5)
- a very clever and misleading clue, the answer to which would surprise many. Congratulations.

The baton passes to you, NigePun
