Well, I got my little monster back from the repair chap! He replaced all the tubes with Electro Harmonix tubes. The ones I can see that are not shielded, have the EH logo in blue. He also replaced the fuse, and it seems he even removed some dust deposits that had accumulated here and there!

Now the shop is going to search for the foot pedal using the info on this thread.
Then we have to search for a “compact” speaker cab, with either one 12, or two to four tens or something. I thank everyone here for all the help they have given me.

Once I am all set up, I think I will search for the 100 watt! Oh, yeah.
I know you can play just about any metal with this amp, but I would like to know what kind of metal the folks here think it is taylor made for?

i just bought some Dimarzio Air Nortons, gotta love classic feeling PUPs. anyways, i have a semour duncan pickup booster pedal that i use to over drive the clean channel, and that sound resembles ac/dc but sweeter. I like the clean channel overdriven a heck of alot better than channel 2! ahem.
