Hey, New to the forum. Whats up people.

I just bought a VL-502 and was wondering if anyone could offer some good settings. Metal? Rock? Whatever you like. Thanks!

This is a good one i use on my 501. should help you out some.
right now im running the 6550 tubes, w/ mullard and buble boy preamps w/ a chinese tube in the inverter.
For a metal tone i have the preamp a little over 3/4 the way, gain at 3/4
(seems you can run the pre and gain harder w/ the 6550's, it is all muddy w/ el34's and i never run either above 1/2 way w/ the el's.......low 7, mids 7, high81/2 presense on 9. play around w/ the presense as this is pretty sensitive on my amp, turn it a little and change you sound alot. hope this helps a little
