Clearly.
Or, at the very least, an "almost" kiss. Like, they're actually going to (ex. he's leaning in and their lips are about to meet) but then someone interrupts and they jump apart all flustered and embarrassed.  That way, we'll at least know for sure that they want each other.

He does check her out a lot and not just in the first season

Yeah but it has nothing to do with Derek and his relatioship with Casey, it was all Mike who can't control himself, after all he's a guy, and it doesn't need a genius to see that: young guy + sexy girl = *censored* 
Anyway I would love to see that all this scenes we had classified as dasey moments were confirmated as canon, you know I would like to see Derek saying to Casey, "I've had always loved you, that time in the bathroom, I was being sincere. I fought Sam for you 'cause I was jealous. I called your father 'cause I hate it when you cry..." and all that stuff, and then they make out .
But until we see it we can only hope that Dasey happens.
Frell! you can't imagine how much I wanna have a time machine right now or work in Disney, that way I would know if Dasey happens or not, I can't stand this waiting!!!!.
Well at least we'll always have fanfiction, don't we?. |

| What I was trying to said is that Mike is a guy and guys usally think more with other parts of their bodies than with their brains, so I don't find it weird that Mike was checking Ashley out, it's something guys do subconsciously, it would be strange if he doesn't do it. They may be the best friends and they don't like each other in a romantic way, but Mike is a guy and he's not made of stone, if he has an attractive woman in front of him, he will check her out subconsciously, it's in the male nature. |

It's 06:20 AM I just come from a birthday party and I'm not in the best condition to think about something that isn't how much money I had spent tonight 
However the first thing I did when I came home was read the new topics and post over here, so you can imagine how much I love dasey if I'm doing it instead of going to sleep.
Sorry about my english mistakes but as I said before I'm not in my best conditions right now I'm almost falling asleep on my desk so I guess I should go to bed now. |

As a guy I take offense to you saying it's just 'guy nature' to check out any attractive girl. Sure a lot of us are like that, but not all of us. I've had plenty of occasions where there were attractive girls around me, and I respect them enough to not 'check them out'. Saying it's a subconscious thing is such a load.
And I've seen quite a few more females who ogle a 'sexy' guy and drool over them than I have ever seen guy's doing that to girls. I don't go around saying it's 'female nature' though. Because it's not.
Stereotypes are bad.

Hmmm...I'd have to say most of what Tony said was right. I don't really think it has to do with gender at all. Because both men and woman are guilty of ogling and checking out other people. I think it mainly depends on the person. Derek is one of those guys who is just like that. Hmm...so to not offend someone maybe say 'Derek nature'.
This actually reminds me of a hilarious story. It was lunch at school last year and my friend Devin (guy) and I were talking. He was saying something, a girl walks by and the most HILARIOUS thing happened. His words faded out, his jaw kinda stayed open, and he got this dazed look. I was all, "Devin...Devin" and he jumped and was all, "What?" LOL.
I'm not saying this to prove anyone wrong or anything. I just found it to be really funny and it seemed to be an appropriate time to share this funny story.

I knew someone was going to feel offended, I'm sorry, really, I do. I think I shouldn't have said it was only in the male nature 'cause I do check guys out too, a lot, and I'm a woman. But what I was saying about Mike it's true, he was doing it subconsciously. Maybe I shouldn't have generalized all this thing but as you even said, a lot of you are like this, and in this pack I should count women too.
So once again I'm sorry for offending you, it was never my intention to cause all this misunderstanding, it's just that I have a problem when I try to convert my thoughts in words, I can't do it correctly in my mother language so you can imagine how hard it is if I'm doing it in english. It has caused me a lot of troubles, like this one, all my life.
So I have to tell you again I'm so sorry, I would like to promise that I won't do this again but as I said before I speak before I think, so please forgive me if I have offended you or someone else, I don't wanna have problems with any of you, I love this place and the people over here, all of you are some of the best people I've ever found in the whole internet, so please let's forget this incident and come back as we were before. |
