I hate Casey's outfit in the beginning, that purple top is fine but then she has a flowery skirt with these weird pink and yellow/orange looking leggings on it that were so ugly.

This episode was so great, I wasn't going to go into too much detail because people didn't have the link to it yet but maybe I should now...

So the beginning was great, Derek and Casey were back to their season 1 fighting. I loved how Derek has his own cereal bowl which looked like it had some sort of face on it and Casey was using it. Then both of them laughing how it hit George? Wonderful.
I liked how Casey told Derek, "You mean this whole time we could have just gone together!?" Yeah there was soooo much to that line for me. Then Derek didn't even fight Casey on her going with him.

I loved that bedroom scene, I mean Derek sits all suggestively on his bed and then Casey looking at Derek with this like wild eye and then going to shut the door and then telling Derek "I'm coming with you", yeah that will defiantly be in all the Dasey videos...or at least mine haha.

Oh and then when Casey is talking to Emily and Emily can't be how rebellious she is being and Casey responds with "Meh, that's just how I..roll" and then she brushes her shoulder. LOVED. Then she goes all Casey on us, "Shoot I'm going to be late for that optional algebra class!" I bet Ashley had a hard time doing that scene without laughing.



We haven't gotten really good blue screen action in awhile but this episode seriously made up for it.



I loved everything about this episode really. Casey and Derek sitting on the coach together and Derek hitting Casey's arm when he thinks she has said too much; George looking at them weird. Then he leaves and they jump up and Casey's like "It is so on, high five! Hit it! Up top!" High five!"

Can't forget when Casey is late to the car and Derek asks, "why are you late?" and she goes "I snuck out my window and climbed down a tree" and then says "Because if I'm going to sneak out I want the full experience"

Oh and Derek, can you please LOOK BEHIND YOU when backing up? You could have avoided hitting the car that way. Guess he was trying to look cool for Casey by not doing that.

Then just everything after that is love. I'll feel like I'm just summarizing every scene if I was to go on.

Oh the bloopers were great, it must have been a late night for them or something because they seemed tired. I loved how they were in the car and Ashley was trying to grab the paper and it just kept flying up.

Okay first of all, I absolutely LOVED this episode. On the Dasey scale , in my opinion, it receives a 9.9! The only reason why I didn't give it a straight 10 is because of the fact taht Derek left without her to the party. Given the fact that it didn't show any of that - that's why it didn't just get a 9.
Because this whole episode was about them. Working together. Being together. And liking it. And I believe they both did with all my heart.
In all of tv history they have to be one of the most believable most cute love/hate couples ever!
Okay onward with the episode. Right off the bat the little "couples" spout at the beginning was great. And the fact that they both were laughing together at George, and the number of glances they exchanged while laughing? Adorable.
The conversation they have after George leaves the kitchen was great too. The fact that Casey is angry because they "could have gone together the whole time" was awesome.
When Derek says "Is that a threat or a promise?" My Dasey warped mind kicked in because the smirk he has on his face was more of like 'Thank God! A new challenge! How can I make Casey squirm enough that she will start talking to me again?' But like I said - totally my Dasey warped mind lol.
I love how they have no consideration for each other's privacy. It's like...no matter what they're doing all other events must stop so that they can pay attention to each other. When Casey walks into Derek's room - even though he was talking to his date, he hangs up the phone. He may have called Casey a rat, but we all know that's "part of the act". Right?
He's challenging her again! He actually challenged her quite a bit in this episode. *sigh* And I always love this because only he can do that to her. Only he has the same effect. If Lizzie or Edwin would have told her 'why don't you just sneak out? we won't tell.' She would have said no.
She even told Derek it doesn't make it right to sneak out even though George overreacted. Then Derek says "For a goody-goody like you it's never okay." Thus the challenge begins.
Casey must prove to Derek that she can have the same rebellious side as he does. Then she goes to close his door? Haha because even though they were alone it still wasn't private enough for her. Derek watching her in amusement the entire time as well. Loving it! (at this point in the episode I had already squeed 3 or 4 times)
"I'm coming with you." she says
"I never invited you." he says. Still a form of his challenging her. Just so she won't back out, better lay it on thicker.
"I'm great at planning! Oh in fact I've already got a plan." - Add Derek's smirk here. Good job Derek. She's officially won over at this point!
Okay since when do they sit on the couch together? Usually Derek's in his recliner and Casey's on the edge of the couch beside him. But now they're sitting closely together in the middle of the couch. How cute is that.
He elbowed her. Not hard just a light brush to let her know she was acting out of the ordinary! I loved that part for some reason. As if them sitting together in such a matter wasn't out of the ordinary enough! No wonder George is reluctant to leave. He knows they're up to something at just that alone.
And how could anyone hate the fact that as soon as George leaves, they stand up and strip? Fantastic.
Okay, if Derek really didn't want to go to the party with Casey, why did he wait for so long in the car for her? He could have just taken off. Season One Derek would have. He even asks what took her so long. The episode just kept getting better and better.
I love how Derek crumples up her paper and throws it out the window, along with the sandwiches. It proves that even though he does engage in activities with her, he still is the dominant one in the relationship and has the final say. Apparantly he though eating along the way and having a written list wasn't neccissary. But how cute was it that Casey made him a sandwich? And she even cut the crusts off of his too! Awwww!
Did you see the scene where Derek is actually taking the sandwiches from her? Any excuse to touch!

(only halfway through the episode and I've already written a novel!)

I love the entire scene where they're in the car together. And I hope we get more of them in season 4! They're such a couple. Casey shouting safety tips at him, while he is passing them off by rolling his eyes and refusing to give her a response. Loved that!
So they dented the car, standing there together in the dark garage all alone. And Derek decides that he's going to blame Casey for the entire incident. Distracted by the safety tips? Yeah right. It's a new excuse everytime!
"Shhh!"
"I will not shh!"
"Shh!"
Once again proving Derek has the dominance in the relationship.
The way he grabs ahold of her to rush her inside was cute. I think we had started a topic of 'Rubbing Off On Eachother'. This is one of those instances that would fit perfectly in that. Derek wasn't going to let her take the fall. If anything, they were still going to get away with it.
And of course the part where they're rushing through and George is coming. He spins around and they collide into each other. If only their lips would have collided as well. I'm pretty sure he caught her by the waist. Anyone else want to confirm that's not just my Dasey warped mind?
They are SO close together under that table. Derek calling the home phone to lure George away was genius. And when Casey leaves his side, Derek seems like he should have said 'Hey wait! Where are you going don't leave me!' by his actions that followed.
"Hide And Seek". Ohhhh wow. Casey and Derek playing hide and seek together. I can only imagine what their real version of hide and seek would be like, and now hope there is some kind of fic created about this.
Derek's 'hey' to her the next morning was so cute. He seemed really happy the night was finally over and he could have his next conversation with her.
So he didn't end up taking Casey with him when he actually did go. But it seems as she was already feeling guilty anyway and probably wouldn't have enjoyed herself. That and if he can help Casey not getting in trouble, he's going to. I also love the fact that the first thing they see in the morning is each other. I think that's happened in a couple other eps as well.
At breakfast when George picks up the phone, they share a cute, almost awkward glance. That was nice.
Blue screen love!!! It was awesome!!! They were stuck together like velcro in this one. Nothing out of the norm for this ep.
Okay, did anyone else have a Cruel Intentions flashback in the next bedroom scene when Casey's trying to call George?
"What are you doing?"
"I'm calling George, he'll go easy on us."
Derek is looking at her with that 'is she serious?' look.
Casey continues to attempt dialing, and Derek lets out that 'eye roll' sigh and reaches over and grabs the phone. They tug on it together, and if given the chance we know Derek would have gotten it.
Sorry but that scen was totally Cruel Intentions to me. With Derek and Casey? It was adorable! Another couples spat.
"George, there's something.." Casey managed to say that before George interrupted her, and I'm in LOVE with the way Derek is looking at her in this scene.
And now they're finishing each other's sentences. That's reason #957 that they're perfect together.
Casey only wears the eyeshadow when impressing a guy? In my personal opinion, since she never actually came out and said she had any attraction towards the guy that was throwing the party, I do believe she would have done it to impress Derek, since the whole night for her - was about impressing Derek. Proving to him that she could sneak out with him? Yeah.
Geez they act like they've been busted for something real serious when Lizzie comes in to announce the family meeting. Not something just like denting a car.
The second blue screen love scene was GREAT! It involves them colliding and brushing against each other some more. Might I add I loved the blonde wig.
More awkward, nervous glancing at each other.
So, Casey confesses. And the solution for Derek is to say 'whoa' quietly a few times and grab her arm in his hands? Once again, any excuse to touch.
Shouldn't Derek be lying about Casey going to the party with him still so that she faces the same consequences. God that boy is in love.
Then comes the hug! I still just love it so much. Because the way he wraps his arms around her in such a manner with a huge smile that not even the grand canyon can hide? Good stuff.
Derek apologized to someone? Hell has frozen over. Well...we know who rubbed off on his enough to cause that.

Okay so episode is finally over and my review is finally done. Well...at least the Dasey part. I'm pretty sure Casey earned 10 more reasons why Derek's in love with her in this episode, although who'd have thought that list could have had room to grow? This is all I can post for now due to the fact I was supposed to be at my aunt's like an hour ago! Lol! But I wasn't going to leave yet, so hey, I will put in more later!

Ahahahah yeah the blooper where the paper kept flying up had me laughing so hard.

I just watched this episode again. I love it even more the second time I watched it. And George did mention they have to spend more time together when they got grounded again. I loved that Casey was able to act like her neurotic self around Derek. And he's like the only one that can handle all her neuroticism. XD They're just PERFECT for each other. I love that Casey is completely over her break up with Max. Dasey things I caught:

- Casey wearing blue eyeshadow when she's grounded and she only wears it to try and impress someone? Maybe that someone is Derek? hehe
- Casey being like, "You mean we could've gone to the party together the whole time?" totally ignoring that Derek has a date to the party.
- Casey wanting to be rebellious for Derek.
- Their whole conversation in Derek's room and the car and on the couch and the scene where Derek's like maybe if you hadn't been shouting safety tips at me! <3
- Their conversation in the morning, Derek says he got a ride from Ralph, then he says all teasingly, "Why, did you want to go?"
- All the blue screens with them. They were like Bonnie and Clyde just as Kelly said.
- The hug, of course, so cute.
- The scene where Derek and Casey go downstairs and Nora wants to cook them their favorite breakfast. Again, such a fanfic feel to that scene.

Other stuff I loved:
- Derek and Edwin's conversations. My God, all of them were just so funny. I love when Derek's like "Hands off, Edwin." after Derek gets grounded for a second time. Gah, their personalities were captured perfectly!
- Derek speaking to Marti under the table. Of course, that totally had Dasey undertones. That scene had a fanfic feel to it.
- Marti saying, "Give me a break!" Hahaha she is such a cool kid.
- Edwin and Lizzie's sleuthing. Nora called them Sherlock and Watson hehe.
- The bloopers! Hahahaha. Loved the bloopers.

Overall, this episode just felt very fanfic-y, which I loved. The guy who wrote this episode is amazing! Him and Jeff Biederman should team up and write the LWD movie together hehe.

First off, I LOVED the detective sub-plot for Lizwin! I think it's my favorite Lizzie and Edwin plot so far.

I liked the scene after the dent when Derek and Casey were arguing. It reminded me of a married couple fighting about being a backseat driver or something.

I liked how if you didn't know that Casey and Derek went to the party, it sounded like they were getting together that night, LOL. The way that they wanted their parents/family out of the house, Casey's blue eyeshadow, and that they were playing "hide and seek."

I loved how 3/4 of the month passed before the end of the episode. I know this has been established, but the LWD timeline is so screwed up!

You know something I wasn't that thrilled with this episode but I was also getting ready for work and staring frantically at my clock. After reading your review Steph I really want to watch this episode again..without distractions.

Edit: So I watched it a second time and I definitely loved it. I missed a lot of stuff the first time. The way they were acting guilty was so fanficy like hiding their relationship. The "hide and go seek" thing was hilarious! ADORE the S1 type of fighting. They sounded like a couple about sharing the car (aside from Derek going on a date) I half expected Emily to say something about her grounding because of fighting with Derek, like they always fight or something.

He TOTALLY challenged her by calling her a goody two shoes. I LOVED when Casey was "that's how I roll" then was like "i'm late for class!" It's good to see the old Casey back. Yes, I thought that too, since when do Derek and Casey sit THAT close to each other on the same couch. Then them stripping after the 'rents left. Aww Casey wanted a high five from Derek. She cares about what he thinks! She was trying to impress Derek the entire time. How cute was it that she snuck out the window and climbed a tree to get the entire "Sneaking out experience" and making him a sandwhich is just love. I was kind of sad how Derek threw out the sandwhich. I never thought of it until you said how in S1 Derek would have just left and went to the party without her unless he was afraid she'd rat him out but I like to think he wanted her there.

Blue screen love was just amazing. The blonde wig, hiding behind a tree standing REALLY close to each other. The hug was just wonderful because he was so Possesive of her. I know he wasn't sayin to George and Nora this is my girl but he sure the hell acted that way. That scene will be manipulated in so many fan vids, actually I think the entire eppie will.

Now I have a couple questions about this episode in general

Emily: He knows our names!
Casey: yeah, kinda

-It seemed to me like he did. He greeted them both. Hi Casey, hi Emily. So what does she mean by kinda?

What did Derek say to Casey about Ralph and going to the party.. I couldn't understand what he said there.

Overall on the Dasey scale, very good.. kinda wish there was some outdoors but lots and lots of interaction between the two..

This one was of my favorite scenes. After watching the episode for the thousandth time I found out this was a dasey moment. Him grabbing the sandwich and touching her hand at the same...staring at her longer than necessary instead of throwing away the sandwich quickly. Do you think that could be the reason he did it [their hands touching]?

^It's possible! Cause I mean look at that it's like a really full blown hand touch. Not just one of those measly hand brushes. It's like...his hand was completely around hers. Derek is always hungry so I was actually surprised when he threw it out. So I run with the belief that he did it as an excuse to touch her. (as I stated in my review this episode had plenty of those 'any excuse to touch' moments) And the fact that he stared for a second was great. I love it. Thanks for the caps!

And Lindsey I'm glad you got to enjoy it better your second time through! It definately lived up to it's hype eh??

First off, A MILLION thank yous to 101cupcakes for posting this incredibly dasey episode. Nearly every single scene was them alone together aside from the cute lizwin detectiving and a bit of Marti who is so awesome to hide that she saw them under the table.

From the start, it was totally dasey beginning with arguing over "Derek's bowl" of Casey's oatmeal. I thought it was incredibly cute that he had his own special bowl and Casey thought she should have special privileges to use it. They looked so cute fighting over it and giggling with their looks at each other when it landed on George's head.
I loved that Casey said "you mean we could have gone together". I immediately was thinking dasey- together as a couple rather than in the same car.

Then when she overhears him planning to sneak out, I love that she's always near him and easily storms in his room and demands to come. And he has to give her the challenge that she's too much of a goody-goody. Ahh, closing the door after looking both ways. I seriously squeeled at that. SO many possibilities for dasey videos. I can't wait to see what you all come up with for that. Oh, and his position on the bed was priceless. SO suggestive. I was grinning like a maniac through this whole bedroom scene.

And then they were on the couch. Sitting close together, rather than Derek in his chair. Very close together. And his little elbow shove- loved that. And when they get up, its like stripping. Haha, that's another scene to caption or make a video of.

In the car, so close together in the car... i love him throwing out her list. I pictured it like throwing out the rules. How he's the exception to all rules and nothing can say that they shouldn't do this or be together. but that's reading into it waaay too much. And the sandwich- yes- ANY excuse to touch. He lingered there too long for innocence and looked at her meaningfully. And then backing out. How could he not notice a car? Oh yeah, he was too busy looking at Casey.

Standing outside the car. Derek always has a plan- grabbing her to make sure that they got away with it. Running into the house, I believe they were still holding onto each other and they bumped into each other before hiding VERY closely together under the table. Derek's a genius with the phone plan. And I loved Marti. Hide and Seek. That brought such dirtyness to my mind. I'm thinkin someone should write a fanfic about it!

Derek snuck off to the party without her?! That was the only thing that disappointed me.

Him bringing the list into her room was cute, but I especially loved how Lizzie said that she only wears blue eye shadow to impress a guy and the only guy she was with was Derek. That’ll make great fanfics and videos too. When I saw that I squeeled and immediately IMed like 5 people raving about it. haha.

And the end, casey couldn't keep her mouth shut. But that's okay because it got Derek to hug her! And I liked the hug more than I expected after just seeing it alone because in the context it made sense. And it was cute with his arms around her waist. We'll get our real hug and hopefully kiss in the future.

Uhh, oh yeah! Blue screens! Amaaazing. They were so close huddled together and hiding behind the tree. Adorable. I loved that. It was like they were hiding their relationship, rather than sneaking out and denting the car.

And the bloopers! Emily, well Shadia. OMG- "for what? Staying up all night doing Derek?" LOVE And the rest of the bloopers were cute too.

Okay, I think I've rambled about this enough. In fact, I had to leave the house halfway through writing this (like 4 hours ago) but I finished. Though, by now, I'm sure people have written more than I've read.

Overall, 9.7 for this episode. Awesomeness!!

I'm not going to write that much...because I'm going to bed...lol...but here are my favorite parts:

-definitely the whole 'under the table' scene and 'hide and seek' lol Marti...she definitely knows that there's something going on...and hopefully she'll be the first to say something...and hopefully to Derek. Maybe another Smerek/Smarti moment? And then Derek will act all weird around Casey because of what Marti said....and now I'm getting off topic.

-I also absolutely LOVED how close they were sitting on the couch...gawww and then they stripped...haha dirty dasey mind, coming back!

-Okay, so if I was someone who just sat down to watch LWD for the first time and I hadn't seen the beginning, and I just saw the part from where Derek and Casey were hiding under the table till the end, I would definitely think that they were trying to hide a secret relationship. Gawwww

-Three words: Back Seat Driving <3

-I loved the whole 'I'm coming with you' scene...Derek sprawled seductively on his bed and Casey runs over and closes the door? Ummm Case? You wanna jump him or something?

-Derek's dress shirt for the party was SEXY...god he looked SO hot in that. This episode was a good dress day for Mike...

-So...I really didn't like Casey's outfits. I mean...the leggings to begin with were awful...and then I wasn't that crazy about the red sock things she was wearing for the party. And is it just me, or is it that in the last couple of episodes her hair looks really strange and like raggedy? Idk...

-The fight in the morning...I agree with everyone..TOTAL SEASON ONE! And it really makes sense too...cause she broke up with Max *insert happy dance here* in the previous episode because she 'lost her identity' and she 'needed to find herself' of COURSE she's going to physically fight with Derek...that's what the 'old Casey' would have done! I like the old Casey...the new Casey was just too horrible.

-I also loved that there was no references of ANY dates or any guys or girls whatsoever...except for in the beginning with whoever she was....Derek dropped her like THAT and immediately became engrossed in 'taking Casey to the party'. Interesting Derek... And I also LOVED how Casey didn't complain about Max. And Derek didn't mention Sally....and was it just me, or was Casey not really that interested in that other guy that was hosting the party? Emily seemed to be interested....she just wanted Casey to come to stand there and make her NOT seem like a fool. Casey could have cared less about the guy...she just had a little fangirl moment and thinks he's hot...she doesn't like him. She's probably not even talked to him!

-Blue. Eyeshadow. that was TOTALLY for Derek! Lizwin figured THAT out for us...god! Even EYES can see that! And when Lizzie interrogated her about the eyeshadow...she got even MORE nervous like they were trying to make her admit that she was in love with Derek! God...

-The hug....*shakes head* not what I was expecting...definitely a BIGGGG step for Derek....Just ADMIT THAT YOU LOVE HER!! GOD! At least admit it to Edwin....and if he tells...just beat him up...I don't care! Just tell SOMEONE!

-I LOVED the subplot...best yet.

-Can't wait for season 4... *squee* there's gonna be Dasey....<3333333333333 And maybe Sally will see their love (just like in my fanfic...lol) because she's clearly not interested in Derek....but how the clips from 'Derek's school of dating' ties in where she WANTS Derek....grrrr idk.

-Whatever. I loved the episode.
I really did.
It was amazing.
