FYI,,,this is a sample chassis that was given to me by a amp tech at work,,,SLM Electronics,,the manufactoring plant for ST.Louis Music,,March 9,2007 will be my last day there,,as St.Louis Music was sold to Loud Technologies,,and moving all production overseas to China and Vietnaim,,,

This is a Ampeg VL-502 ,,I put it in a Crate BV-120 cabinet,,changed all the plastic knobs to metal SVT 2Pro knobs,,,put in a fresh set of sovtek 6550 output tubes,,,the chassis had been modified ,,the effects loop and reverb has been bypassed,,,as for the sound,,Fire and Brimstone,,pure Lee Jackson tone,,,, This amp F**king Rocks,,,,,,,

Hey ClassX. So do you still work at St Louis Music? Do they still have the white plastic Ampeg logos that came on the VL Ampeg 4x12 cabs? I talked to a customer service guy a few months back and he said they had them for sale still but the phone number he gave me takes me to Loud now. I was wanting to get a couple logos since both cabs I have came without them. Let me know if you could help me out with that or if you know someone I could talk to. Thanks!

Sorry,,,unless they have the plastic white Ampeg logos in stock in St.Louis Missouri,,,I'm afraid your out of luck,,as I have 10 more days left in the Ampeg Bass head and cabinet plant,,in Arkansas,,,All I have access to are the current run of metal SVT Classic,,square,,rectangle,,and the script style on the guitar amps and the metal new style oval A logos on bass cabs. The classic styles mount with screws from the front,,, all others use retaining clips for the studs on the back.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Would you happen to have a phone number for the plant in St Louis Missouri? I'm not sure where the phone numbers I have will take me anymore. I knew I should have bought those logos a long time ago but I kept putting it off! I was wanting to re-condition my two cabs with logos and some new metal parts since most of mine are really rusty. Thanks again!

Can't help you with a phone number ,,don't have access to that ,,I'm just a lowly paid employee,,I can get cabinet parts ,such as corners,, handles ,,, and the above mentioned logos ,, if you view the pick of the VL-502 I posted you can barely make out the script vintage logo I used on the metal grill,,, normally those are mounted on the reissuse guitar Amps,,by useing a rubber hammer and pounding the studs into the pre-drilled wood ,,

I know they have been throwing a ton of stuff in the dumpster ,,,makes me sick,,many complete tube guitar chassis,,, :x :x

Thanks anyway. I might just buy some pickguard material and try to cut out my own logo. What do you mean they're just throwing stuff away?!? Man, I'd be dumpster diving every night! If you see them throw out a solid state VH-140C chasis grab it for me;) Thanks again for your help. I appreciate it!
